12SDC 12-String Electric Guitar Black

A fellow guitar player that is a professional with 60yrs experience that has played with some of rocks greatest hipped me to this guitar by accident when I casually mentioned Mamma I'm Coming Home sounded better on my 12 string acoustic, and Ive never been happier. The neck feels great even when doing C#m and B bar chords, neck feel is the most important to me, and being female I prefer a slim body so I can see the strings and not feel like Im hugging an elephant. This is one of the few guitars that was playable with no adjustment to the action or any set up. As for the sound the Lipstick pickups on this guitar will give and give a echo type sound like no other-think Jimmy Page sound on Kashmir. Its light as a feather, the tuning is accurate and not as difficult as some 12strings-however do not use a roadie or other insta tuner, a good old fashioned snark is your best bet. The guitar is so playable I dont want to put it down, its rero cool style without try to hard. Im so happy I decided on this 12string vs. the Ibanez I was also looking at. One thing to note, this is not the guitar for a beginner.

Considering that we paid $300 for it, this guitar is great and well worth it! Easy to play, stays in tune well, and sounds great plugged in. The tuning is wonky when using a capo or playing higher up the neck. I plan to take it to our local pro shop and have it set up and strobe tuned. Will update if there are any problems with that. That only costs about $75, so we have a wonderful 12 string electric that rings like a bell for $375!

I've owned a few original Danelectro guitars back in the 60's. They were the inexpensive American made alternative to the Japanese guitars. You didn't buy for quality, you bought for price. When they were reissued from Asia, I didn't even think to check them out given my original opinions. Recently I went looking for a 12 string electric on a fairly low budget. The used market was limited and overpriced for anything of quality. A musician friend said try the Danelectro, I'll be surprised. Boy was I. Everything about it's playability and sound was much more than I expected. The set-up right out of the box was dead on. I've owned acoustic 12 strings that don't play near as smooth as this. Highly recommend if price is an issue.

I've got two of these now for different tunings... sounds best if tuned a whole step lower and little bit heavier strings... stays in tune well... tuners and bridge are good quality... It's light as a feather...for my ears it only sounds good in the middle pickup position with all controls on full... either pickup by itself sounds weak, but that middle position covers it for me. This is the version with two single coil lipstick pickups... there's another danelectro 12 that has a humbucker... I've never tried that one so I don't know how it sounds. I got my first one of these SDC's a couple of years ago and have had no problems with it.

What an awesome sounding instrument! The set up was great, didn't even hafta adjust the truss rod. The only thing I did do is change to my personal preferred string brand. At this price I can afford to keep one at the house, the office, the practice hall.... If you are looking for a great quality 12er without the massive price, this is your guitar. If you want a ric12, get a ric12, and get one of these for funzies.

I unboxed and saw this guitar should have never passed inspection from the factory. The low e tuning key was drilled too close to the next e tuner, causing one string to be under the other. The nut was not finished well. The binding was not smooth, and was rough edged to the touch. The bridge adjustment was awkward in heights. Intonation was 50% accurate. They offered me $40.00 to take it to a luthier, and proclaimed they used a 12 point inspection as well. When I returned it, they said it was “ horribly” scratched, front and back. This guitar should never been shipped from the factory and they let it for sale after their inspection, then claimed I damaged it. I’ve bought 5 guitars online Amazon. This one I should have videoed the unboxing Live and learn! I can’t recommend this shop

Sweet guitar, jangles beautifully, looks good and super cheap price. The only problem to be aware of is a slight design flaw- I guess the headstock used to bend back at a slight angle when they made these back in the day but to save on production costs they are now straight. This causes strings to slip out of the slit in the nut when you play a little harder which is super frustrating and sounds totally rechid. Luckily, it's an easy fix- strap on a toggle action capo after the nut and before the tuners and this will secure the strings in place. As a bonus it will increase the guitar's sustain and the clarity of each note.

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ IT! Nevermind a Ricky, Mind you, I have the cutout body. Light weight (I could wear it all night), that sound!, holds set up forever. Know this, all 12 strings have intonation, but height are in pairs. I could go on forever...

I previously had a 360 Ric 12 and took it to my local shop to have the frets re dressed.While it was there a guy came into the shop and after seeing the guitar,made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I wasn't in a panic as I don't do much gigging these days. However I still wanted a 12 string and after having a Ric,I wanted a 12 string with the same,if not similar tone. After reading the review by Klaus I finally went for the Dano for £252 from Amazon. What a guitar and value for money!Here's the bullet points:- Great cool styling Easier to play (having a wider neck) Simple controls (just tone and volume) Fantastic tone and jangle. I use a vox ac30 with a janglebox and I honestly find it incredibly hard to find a difference from the Ric The only slight concern is the edge tape. It looks ok,but it takes some getting used to but I'l live with it. I also forgot to mention the money. After selling the Ric I'm over a £1000 in profit! I think I'l now look at a Dano 6 string! Do I regret parting with the Ric? No,definetely

What a nice axe! Great action, intonation very good and it holds tuning quite well. A special thanks to Cosmo Music for a speedy delivery. I got the guitar a week before the earliest predicted delivery date. This is the 4th item I've gotten supplied to Amazon through them and 3 out of 4 arrived early. This one actually beat the price showing up on my credit account!!

macht spass auf einer 12-saitigen zu spielen. im gegensatz zu den in china gefertigen danelectro ist diese aus korea und makellos.

Bellissima, leggera, piccola ma comunque col suono ricco di armoniche che caratterizzano le 12 corde. 4 stelle anziché 5 perché è arrivata di colore nero. :)

Pour le prix , elle est parfaite, très belle lutherie, un son magnifique, il faudrait être blindé pour dépenser plus!!
