Novogratz x Globe Harrington 65 in Floor Lamp, 2-Tone Wood-Tone Base

I don’t normally leave reviews but had to with this one. Sorry for the length. I’ve been looking hard for some years now for a decent lamp that looks designer, has a decent height and is on the thicker side while being affordable. This lamp honestly surprised me. It has a nice old school lamp feel to it while having a modern flare. Large Barrel shade and very heavy base. I think the lamp is well balanced in the size of the shade to the pole if you’re going for that retro lamp look. Everything seemed to be well made and was extremely well packaged and super easy assembly. The shade comes whole, not folded. The wood grain is quite realistic as well. I’d recommend putting an amber bulb in it to get a retro comfy vibe and to make the white shade not so harsh. The large size of the shade disperses the light really well too. I’m thinking about buying another for my bedroom now. Hopefully the longevity is good on these as I’m writing this the day that it arrived.

I’m very pleased with my purchase. Assembly was easy, it was packaged well and doesn’t have a scratch or flaw as a result. Yes, it’s metal, not wood but it still looks great. I’ve heard some others mention the Styrofoam being a problem, it definitely made a mess and stuck to everything, but a strong vacuum takes care of that. Just be careful not to break the foam when removing the base, which makes it much worse.

This is such a unique style lamp. It’s eye catching but not in a bad way. I really like the look of it. It came packaged almost too well. lol took me longer to get it out of the box than to get it together. I would recommend it. Modern and unique.

I love this lamp so much! It fits perfectly with my mid century walnut decor. As the description, and other reviewers, have noted, the lamp is faux wood. I believe it's metal, but it's very pretty. The base is heavy so may not be the best choice with young children around. I did grab another shade to match my colors better but it was all an easy assembly. One minor complaint - the amount of Styrofoam packed around this lamp is unreal. Yes, the lamp was wonderfully protected and arrived without a scratch, but I'll be picking up little foam bits for eternity. Sorry, Environment.

I took off 1 star for the same design flaws many other reviewers mentioned: - The wood grain print, although gorgeous, doesn’t line up from one section to another. It still looks like real wood; just made and assembled in 3 pieces. It was packaged very well and mine arrived blemish free. It definitely has some weight to it, feels sturdy, and stable. (No wobble at all) - The shade is too white, just balances on the bulb socket, and is hard to keep level. (A drop of hot glue could remedy that.) The bottom of the shade sits about an 1” too high and you can see the socket if you’re sitting close. It might limit where you place the lamp in your room, if that bothers you. Like others, I’ll shop for a new shade, but in the meantime, I’m going to try recovering it in a light, linen fabric I have. Since it’s a straight cylinder, it could be an easy, temp fix. - The height feels a little tall next to a sofa or chair, but maybe that’s just my furniture. Overall, it blends beautifully with my Danish modern/Scandinavian decor. It’s a stylish addition to my room and I love it.

I was very surprised about how nice this was considering the price! I needed a floor lamp for my bedroom and went to West Elm and Pottery Barn to see what they had in stock. All their floor models looked incredibly cheap and flimsy (esp West Elm). Like, why am I going to pay $400 for that? So I ordered this instead. It looks great with my mid-century decor and is very sturdy. Highly recommended!

It's an ok lamp that could've been great and should've been considering the price. It's very heavy so it doesn't tip. I didn't have any issues with the shade once I realized I had it upside down. If you can see the bulb while standing up and looking at the top, your shade is upside down. Duh, should've looked at the instructions. What I don't like is that the middle section only has wood grain on one side of it. The other side is just plain brown. So I kept trying to unscrew it and rescrew it from different points hoping the woodgrain side would line up so it was facing forward with the cord coming out the back. But I couldn't get it to line up like that. So for the woodgrain side of the middle piece to show, my lamp is backwards, with the cord coming out in the front. I would ask them to send me a new middle section, but reading the comments it doesn't sound like they have the most helpful customer service. It looks nice, just wish that middle piece would've had the woodgrain on both sides. Hate having the cord come out the front.

This is a great lamp. Exactly as shown. Strudy and won't tip over. Elegant look and good quality.

Firstly this thing is huge and made of metal! Dimensions are wrong. Shade is 18W x 13H - beware if you have a tight corner. It's heavy and will not fall. Packed entirely in styrofoam which is now all over my apartment -not sure how anyone recieved a damaged one. Faux wood looks great. Mine didn't screw together straight, so has a lean. The "joins" where is screws together could fit better and my eye is drawn to this part of the pole when lamp is on. Would be better is the shade was not polar White, but beige. Switch is only on/off. Am considering returning or buying a new shade.

The wood grain pattern on the lamp was uneven so I returned it. Solid lamp with easy returns though.

The lamp is gorgeous, well-made and easy to assemble. The only downside was I was a little disappointed because the shade was damaged (see second photo) and it's unique sizing makes it difficult and costly to replace. Amazon Customer Service was helpful in trying to find a replacement, but with no luck, they instead refunded me a percentage of the original purchase price which was a nice alternative.
