Saved me money in fixing my window issue
I bought a used 2011 Mercedes E-350 Cabriolet, that had an issue where the drivers window would come halfway down after raising it. You had to mess with it 2-3 times to get it to stay up. Also the rear window wouldn't index. I went through all the window indexing fixes dozens of times. Took it to the place where I bought it and they couldn't fix it either. Not even the local garage. After reviewing many code scanners, I decided on the Foxwell NT510 Elite. It took a while to figure out how to get to the place I needed to get to to test and control the windows by making them go up and down using the device, but once I got there, the bi-directional control mode was awesome. I "denormalized" the window, then reset it. Then both windows started working again. Pretty cool you can make the door locks, lights, seats, and almost any function operate to test them. Who knows, maybe I can control and drive the car remotely?I didn't try the windows on the test drive because it was 98 degrees, so I bought it before noticing the issue. The non-Mercedes dealer tried to get out of fixing the issue, so we agreed to share the cost. Now I don't have to come out of pocket to get the windows working like they were supposed too. It may not had cost as much as the scanner, but my old code reader was useless on the systems this vehicle has. I'm going to order the GM software, so this will be my new go to code reader.

Great Scanner
I heard horror stories about updating the software so I’ve chosen not to do so. Other than that it’s a great scanner that goes into depth and detail more than an a cheap scanner. I have a 2002 Mercedes Benz ML (W163) and a 2017 Kia Sorento and was able to use the scanner for both vehicles. It’s fast, reliable, and easy to use.

Cheap unit that requires software you dont want on your computer
This has to be one of the poorest designed units. Not to mention that the software is really problematic for your computer with the programs it unnecessarily loads, and then does not uninstall all of itself. In fact, on 3 systems tested, it left the majority program installed. There are some usability issues:you HAVE to have an internet connection to use the unit (software requires you to log into their website first) and get your data and updates. No thanks. It installs Microsoft Edge- even if you have it disabled. The data port on the side for a microxd card (required) is darn near impossible to use. You have to remove the rubber shock cover to get to it.The software keeps wanting to use a different drive on my computer to try to write to and accessing the mem card on the unit requires that you disconnect any hardwired ethernet connections- it traffics a bunch of data needlessly over wireless. With all of the privacy concerns regarding software out of China, they need to go the extra mile to make sure to be transparent, and make sure all software is uninstalled correctly. Some of these modules I have no idea why they are here. And 140megs software for this little device to operate? Very worrisome. And forcing you to give them your vehicle, VIN, street address, phone, purchase date, etc just to get in touch with tech support? No thank you. Im uninstalling, putting it on ebay for sale, and hope to recover some of the money. The application for this is a 2008 GL550, and I needed it to perform the automatic adjustment on the airmatic suspension, which it could not do the auto feature- it overheats the pump after adjusting for 15-20mins. So, i set it manually- which worked but reveals it isnt able to communicate fully to the computer like the dealer module. So, still have to take it to the dealer to get it to adjust the last few mm needed. Its close enough to drive anyway. For that it did save a tow bill. But there is no way I would buy from this company again.

Didn't perform all of the functions I needed it to.
I need to be able to know what functions I will be able to perform before I buy the tool. I bought this one and sent it back, bought a newer higher number foxwell tool and it does less than the first. It also cost more. I'm very frustrated with this problem. I'm sending this one back also. It was easy to use, easy to update, and good price. Very frustrating though.

works with my 2019 mercedes sprinter 4x4
I bought an open box one directly from amazon June 2024. Worked without needing any updates on my 2019 sprinter 4x4 3.0D. I did have to manually enter the vin. My swivel seat cut the the power wire to my seat airbag when something was accidently left under the seat. When I fixed the wire, SRS fault happened. Dealer wanted $250 to clear the code. This device was ~$100 with tax and cleared the code. It is small so I will keep it with me in the van case I get warning or fault in a remote area. I am sure there are more advanced and larger ones, but this one did the trick.
