Kodiak Furniture Phoenix Futon Set, Queen, Suede Chocolate Mattress

First off, I really need to address a couple of reviews here.-tessa, You aren't fooling anyone with your pictures. That was obviously jumped on in the center. For the lower frame of the futon to break AND the substructure... Well, that's not from normal use.-lostinthehills, this is hardly "thin wood". Its a futon, not a brick house. It's more than adequate.As for assembly, two of us had it together in under an hour. The directions were easy to understand and everything was clearly marked. It does take two people to fold it either up or down, but that's to be expected due to the large size of this.Speaking of size, it's much larger than I envisioned. Seems HUGE! The mattress is comfortable and made well, as is all the framework and the hardware. All-in-all an excellent investment for those looking to save a few bucks.

I was a little concerned about putting this together by myself, but it wasn’t bad at all. You SHOULD have two people to assemble, but one can if they’re bored/motivated enough. Just read everything and watch the video before you get started. A ratcheting hex driver will make things go really quickly.So far, it’s a nice piece of furniture and not bad to change from couch to bed. in couch mode, is more comfortable than any futon I’ve ever sat on and probably most couches. Will update after guests sleep a few nights in it, but the quick nap I took after putting it together was quite comfortable!

Update: Had this 8 months and the entire bracket collapsed and broke the frame. No update from the seller.Update: We've had this for less than 5 months and have no kids or pets. The center bracket in the center is breaking.A week later and the top bracket is also breaking. Since it's over 90 days, there is no more option to contact seller.We have now had for two months and it's still great. Mattress is very comfortable and has extra features for sturdiness when folded into bed. Two side tables fold up and down for ease of access. Futon also has a lounge setting for relaxing. We looked forever to find one we could afford and could not be happier.

It lasted 6 months. Thin wood. cheaply built.
