Great Price and Performance; short life span but worth it
I used to use the Silverstars before the Silverstar Ultras came out. The Ultras are a enhanced, great product, that illuminate the road further and wider whether on the Interstate or country roads. The street signs, reflective paint and strips on the roads really pop out which makes it easier to drive at any speed. I could really tell with these lights the improved visibility over the standard halogen OEM bulbs how much brighter it was. I don't care for fake ultra ultra white (HID) lights look, I care more about how a product illuminates the road. I had some fake HID white bulbs before and couldn't see very well at night especially when it rained even when they cost more, but the Silverstar Ultras are great! Even though they last from 9-12 months, changing the bulbs takes me less than 5 min for both headlights so if you have trouble changing them out you may want to look at longer lasting ones at the expense of dimmer lights. I couldn't justify the price premium on the Piaa Intense White H4 bulbs over these. You will also notice they have a sharp European headlight beam pattern (low on the right and higher on the right hand side like a fat check mark). They are brighter but do not blind other drivers because if they are aimed properly the cut-off pattern really helps. PROS: -buy from Amazon, 40-50% less then auto part stores (~[...] pair vs ~$50 pair). Plus free shipping :-) -keep your receipt and Sylvania may your replace your bulbs if they burn out in less than a year. You will have to contact [...] customer service (make sure you have a receipt) -white and bright light make it well worth the cons -if you have poor night vision they really help CONS: -may cost 2x more than standard cheap bulbs -will not last as long as the cheap bulbs -the longevity is a big con if you have a hard time to access and change your headlight bulb

Excellent for Honda Element!
These fit in my 2006 Honda Element. Nice and bright-not blinding for other drivers.

Comparable to LEDs
This is the best thing to LED brightness one can achieve with halogen bulbs without blinding other drivers and deers by installing illegal LED bulbs in reflector headlight housing. The negatives are its price and longevity. In one car that is driven daily, this two-pack Silverstar Ultra lasts just over a year, and in the other car that is driven every other day, it lasts two years. When replacing, replace both at once even though they might not fail at the exact time. If you drive at night often, or eyes don't see properly at night, I recommend these Silverstar Ultra bulbs. Like I said before, downsides are cost and short lifespan.

Nice and bright BUT……
I have used these headlights before and they are way brighter than stock but it comes at the expense of lifespan. If you have headlights that are hard to change out or if you drive in a well lit city, I would not recommend these especially if you have dual filament bulbs like 9003’s. If you have seperate bulbs for high beams, I would recommend these for use in the high beams while putting basics in the low beams. If you drive in lots of rural or poorly lit suburban areas or live in an area with lots of car destroyers (aka deer), then I would recommend these for low and high beams and for dual filament bulbs. TL;DR: These bulbs put out great light but they have shorter lifespans than the basics.

2015 Honda Fit GK H4 9003
These work really good! Love the natural light like daylight 4300k look in the halogen style bulb. Installation was easy and it fit great. Price is reasonable but better than my local store. I’ve attached 2 photos driving in the city at night and one on the free. Very clear and bright for good visibility, no need to install retrofit type projector.

A much-improved item at a great price: also a safety investment.
I have used these for several years in my pickup truck -- they're startlingly bright, and really make a difference in seeing trouble well before you're close to it and have limited steering/braking options. For a long time, I valued these characteristics highly enough that I shrugged and put up with reliability and durability problems in this product. It is my understanding (and my personal experience) that the manufacturer seems to have cleared-up those problems. More on those durability/reliability problems: four or five years ago, I actually bought a replacement socket for my truck and wired it in because 2 bulbs in a row (fresh out of the packaging) did not light, and I assumed this was due to a bad contact or connection. Imagine my surprise when I tried the same bulbs in the light socket on the other side of my vehicle, and they once again did not light! I had also seen bulbs of this type (installed new from the packaging, and using nitrile gloves to keep my perspiration off the glass) fail within two or three months of installation -- especially frustrating given the price. However, the last set of these I installed (over one year ago) lit correctly, were exceptionally bright (even on the "low beam setting") and are still functioning just fine, showing no sign of dimming or flickering. And, the Amazon price for this double pack is WAY below the "shelf-price" from most retailers. I really appreciate that! Bottom line: this item seems no longer to have quality problems, and is being offered at a great price.

Good lighting
Without getting into lumens, candle power, and all the other numbers that need a meter to test with, these lights are great. I first purchased one bulb for my 1998 Jeep drivers side and it was far superior to the passenger side so I purchased a second one. Granted the OEM lamps where getting old. I liked the lamp so much I purchased the Silver Star equivilant bulb for my 1983 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. When the OEM bulb went out on my 2004 Subaru Forester there was no question that I would replace both lamps with the Silverstar Ultra. I work at night and live in a mountain community in the Catskills and deer are an issue here. The light is a whiter light then stock halogen lamps. The light seems softer on my eye from the drivers seat and have less glare in the falling snow. Objects and the road seem to almost glow and take on a more distinguished presence. They are more exspensive then the OEM lamps and not rated to last as long as OEM bulbs. In my Jeep the OEM lamps lasted 8 years and the Silver Star where still going strong when the Jeep died 8 years later. So for a few dollars more and a slightly higher cost per mile they are worth every penny. They also seem less annoying to on-coming motorist as commented on by my friends, family and my wife when I pass her at night and asked. (This is a small town, very small).

Visibility greatly improved in 2010 Toyota Yaris
I replaced the OEM bulbs in a 2010 Toyota Yaris with these. I also replaced the old, yellow and faded housings so it’s hard to say how much of the difference is the housings and/or the bulbs, but these bulbs illuminate and project light SO much further down the road and the cutoff is fantastic. The color is similar (a little whiter) which is fine, but I can really see objects in the road so much sooner than before. If you’re looking for some ultra-white blinding LED type light these aren’t it, they’re similar to OEM in terms of color, but they illuminate things really well. Hopefully they last a while.

Excelentes

Good lights
These lights are very good for night driving in pitch black areas, i have zero trouble seeing the road. however if you are expecting these lights to look any cooler in colour temperature compared to standard oem bulbs you will be disappointed. i didn’t notice any difference whatsoever.

Better than my original stock lights
I bought theses headlights for my 211 Honda Cr-V. I had been using the original stock lights since I bought the car and I needed some whiter lights. These lights are an improvement! Much whiter and can see better at night. I’ve only had them a few days so I can comment on the longevity of the lights but I will update. *These are suppose to be easy to install but for some reason I had a little trouble turning the bulbs clockwise to lock them in place in there sockets.
