Military Black PolarTec 300 Fleece Jacket

This fleece really is the best. I stated that it fit "as expected" even though it is somewhat large. This is for a reason. Its supposed to have some room to keep you warm. If you live in the north, you will know what I mean. =)So, this is my second one. The first one I had, I got for free. It was the second hand military version (the only difference is, the other one has a hook and loop area on the chest to stick patches on). When I got that one about three years ago, it had already been used for a very long time, and the zippers barely worked anymore. I had to keep squeezing them shut with plyers. That being said, it still held up very well, and it was very warm and durable. Last week, I had to retire it, and buy this one, because the zipper on the old one finally broke. I got this new one today, and I'm thrilled. I'm so glad its here on Amazon.I absolutely love the two big pockets on the inside. I stick a hand warmer in each one, when it's -20F or below outside, and it is incredible how warm they keep you. I've never used the body warmers, but like I said, the hand warmers work awesome.Just so you know, this is just fleece. If you are going to be in very cold and windy conditions, you need to at least have a good wind proof shell to put over it. This is a liner (a very good one) more than anything. Fleece is made to breathe, and keep moisture out, so wind will cut right through it. (figuratively speaking). Its still great just by itself, as a fall and spring time jacket.This is an awesome fleec. It's warm, durable and very light weight. It's well worth the money, especially if it might just keep you from freezing to death some day.Oh, and one more thing to mention, I can not find anything on this one that reads "made in .......", so yes, this fleece is made in the great United States of America!!!

This is the EXACT Polartec jacket I was issued during a deployment as a civilian to the middle east by the US Army. I loved the jacket over there because it was so warm when it was cold. But it also didn't get that hot if it was just a little cold outside. It has zippers in the armpit area that you can open if you end up on a long hike and start sweating. When it is really cold out I like to wear this under another jacket and then you have the perfect combination. The collar will fold up around your neck and is "extra" insulated. You can pull it up around your face if you need to. I just love the lightness of this fleece jacket and when you put it on you can literally feel your arms and shoulders heating up. I can't say enough good things about it. Great price too.

I bought one of these back in 2009, it was super nice and used it for years. Of course it finally wore out. This, though marked as identical, is of far lesser quality. Fleece feels cheap and sheds everywhere. Arms are noticeably too short. Would not buy again.

It has a nice loose fit for ease of movement, and the fleece has that super thermostat effect that keeps you warm without getting hot. The biggest flaw I've found is that the black fleece tends to pick up some lint. Big deal.

Nice heavyweight fleece jacket. Fit as expected. Will be a nice, warm addition in the winter for wearing under my windproof shell

You must get one size smaller then you usually wear. So if you wear a XL, get a large and it will fit just fine. I made the mistake last year of buying a XL and it was WAY TOO BIG, luckily, I sold it to a friend and he loves it. Great Jacket and real warm!!!

The quality of the fleece jacket is superior to many on the market. Not too heavy and not paper thin. Ordered for my husband who has owned several fleece jackets. He was incredible impressed by the quality and wears it daily.

Zippers suck!Front zipper broke 1 month after purchase. Tried to fix it. Cannot be fixed. New zipper needed. Not worth it.
