LEGO Technic 42110 Land Rover Defender, Maquette de Voiture a Construire, Idée Cadeau Jouet pour Enfant de 11 ans et +

I have a bunch of Technic Lego sets, everything from quite small to some 2,000+ pieces sets. Each new generation of Technic seems to improve. This is the best set I have in terms of build, features and aesthetics. It comes with a single instruction booklet but its a big one with almost 1,000 steps but the steps are broken down really nicely with some pages being just a couple of parts. The 15 odd bags of parts are also broken down into 4 major steps so that you don't have to open everything at once. They've also mixed up the build so that you don't end up building the same thing twice straight after each other, which is a pet hate of mine. There are a lot of features in this but highlights are; GREAT suspension, winch, all doors opening, great interior detail and the EPIC gearbox. The gearbox is both a highlight and a lowlight. On the one side it makes for a very challenging and mechanically interesting build, but at the same time its quite hard to push the model around the floor and really see what the gearbox is doing.....to really test it, you end up flipping it on its side and spinning the wheels by hand to watch what is going on. It's a very well designed model with no corners cut and ends up being a very sturdy model that you could happily give to an older child to play with, without too much worry about it getting broken. In my case, its now sat on a display shelf and looks superb (alongside the Ducati Corse motorbike, which is another fantastic looking model). In fact, the body is so well put together that at first glance it looks more like a plastic model than a piece of Lego. I didn't rush my build and I think I got a good 10 hours of fun build time, which is a good amount. Totally recommended.

Who does not like Lego, bought this for myself over the Christmas period to build - always fun to do never gets old building with Lego .Enjoyment still there- this was a great Lego set and a fairly large set to complete and looks great when complete . Great value for the price

During the pandemic, I've found myself less and less interested in the standard evening things like TV and PlayStation. I go out on my bike a lot and go for walks and so on, but I was looking for something that would be stimulating, would help pass the time, and would be therapeutic in a way. This kit is awesome! It's complex enough that you have to concentrate to avoid going back and checking what you've done every 10 minutes, but not so much that it feels like a chore. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The manual is easy enough to follow and the end result looks incredible. Go buy it! TIP: I took the advice of a guy on YouTube and purchased a set of coloured plastic bowls on here from Ikea - it meant I could separate out the components from the manual for Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, etc., and work on them a bit at a time. Really cool idea!

This is an impressive kit, the attention to detail is astonishing. It all reflects quite accurately how it works in real life (with some simplifications of course) but the steering, the transmission, the 6 cylinder engine (with moving pistons) are really a delight to put together and watch them working. It was really fun to assemble and I have it as a display piece now. It was assembled in a weekend, so considering the price it doesn't guarantee too many hours of entertainment, but I guess the price includes the design (which is definitely impressive) and the resulting piece. Great gift for Lego lovers.

Truly remarkable model and, for the complexity and number of pieces, good value too. Not an easy build in that some smaller gears are harder to identify - err towards the smallest gear when putting the gearbox and transfer case together. Deeply impressive transmission system wrapped in a good likeness of a new Defender. Clever assembly system does allow you to build it and remove the panels later to review the mechanism and suspension. Actually easy to push around and “drive” so younger kids can explore it even if the build is considered beyond their skills. It’s Lego - what kids might find hard is the time and patience needed. Mine was missing four pieces - so one mirror can’t be fitted yet and the bonnet has a black bit instead of green. But it’s Lego and a Land Rover. I’m calling it character until I get the missing bits. Hefty and just really impressive when built, if you choose just one lego Technic car to make this year, make it this one.

A great Lego model to possess. Also buy the lights to go inside. Not to be used as a toy, best placed on a shelf.

I haven't make a lego kit for many decades (since I was ten). This was brilliant. I bought it because I am thinking of buying the real car. Lego is such a great quality product. All the part fit perfectly. There is a great video on YouTube of the guy who designed it at Lego. A huge amount thinking has gone into designing this build, with all the gears working. You have to really concentrate at every stage. One misplaced component and you will find yourself having to dismantle a things a whole lot later to fix a previous small mistake. But that is the challenge of it. The end product looks great and got lots of admiring comments from friends I didn't think would be remotely interested in such a thing. Very satisfying. I bought a light kit to go with it, that made it even better.

This is EPIC. My almost 10yr old is loving building this. The picture is the build at stage 717 out of 860. He’s probably spent around 20 hours on it so far and can’t wait to finish so he can play with it. It’s a great size, and being technic Lego it’s robust too. Favourite features include the fact that the wheels are controlled by either pushing it from the roof or from the steering wheel. We also love the locking boot mechanism and my sons favourite are the gears and pistons that move under the bonnet. It’s just brilliant, yes a slightly higher price than would be comfortable for most parents wallets, but as a main present it won’t disappoint. Definitely enjoyed by any Lego enthusiast young or old, and a great toy / model once complete. We’ve got more Lego than any household could ever need; from millennium falcons to ghostbuster houses we love our epic builds, but this is by far and away our unanimous favourite!

A great set by lego, it was mostly out of stock in the pandemic, definitely not for 11 year old kids....i would suggest an age rating of 16+.... I think the build time will be almost 80 hours for a casual builder The gear box works well and the model looks fantastic. Another fantastic creation by lego

値段が少し高くて買うのを躊躇っていた期間はありましたが、作り終えた今買って良かったと思います サスペンション、タイヤを回す事でギミックが回るのも見てて楽しくなります 一つ注意点としては、似たような形の部品があり、説明書ではわかりづらいものがあります。 自分は一度間違えて組み立ててしまい、作り直す事になりましたので、作る際は部品の確認と動作点検しながら作る事をおすすめします。

My daughter and I assembled this together - beats a jigsaw puzzle! Had to disassemble a couple of times to get it right. Quite a complex, but very fun build. A few parts were missing which I applied for directly to Lego but still waiting for these parts…
