Bought for replacement works great!

My Excel VR2500 needed a new pump, and OEM parts seem impossible to get. Was about to buy a new machine when I came across a great Youtube video by Dennis Coffey that provided step by step instructions to install this pump on my machine. While the video might look daunting (need to remove the engine), the only hard part was dealing with the rusted bolts. Lots of heat, penetrating oil and patience did the trick. Once past that, everything went smoothly. If you have moderate mechanical skills, you can save yourself hundreds of dollars.The pump is in and the machine works as good as new.

After reading reviews and finding someone else put on as Excell VR2300, I gave it a try as well.The video that brought me to this pump had great suggestions but I did have to use different bolts than suggested. The outlet and inlet on the pump are different sizes than what’s on the original VR2300 pump so I needed to purchase a new hose and gun. Spent less than 1/2 what a new pressure washer would cost and saved a good motor from the scrap yard so overall very pleased. Worked exactly as stated on first run or the season.

Didn’t realize I needed to order key way and longer bolts until after I received

uses the engine mount bolts to mount the pressure pump. longer bolts must be bought for it to mount correctly. they are a standard 5/16 bolt. A 3/16 by 1 inch square key must also be purchased to connect the crank shaft and pump together. I would also remove the engine from the frame and discard the plastic surround, this will allow better air circulation to the pump allowing it to run cooler and last longer. Installation will be easier with 2 people but I did it by myself. It as not easy with just one person but can be done. make sure to save the instructions for adjustment. I have misplaced mine and are having a difficult time getting new ones. I also purchased a pressure gauge to help with the adjustment. So far i have cleaned my sidewalk, front porch and part of my house siding. I will be finishing the house and deck then the mower deck will be last this season so it can be repainted. So far i'm very happy with this pump. 4/28/20 I have had this pump for almost a year now. I’ve washed my tractor multiple times. I finished the rest of my work on my house. I’ve also washed both my vehicles multiple times. this pump still works great. I had no problems with it running after winter. excellent quality, I would definitely recommend this pump. Customer service did get back to me with the instructions to make the adjustments for the pump so customer service is good, a little slow but good and the pump works great so five stars for me.

This was not easy to install on my Troy-Bilt 2700 psi pressure washer. Shims (washers) kept slipping out and falling inside of the pump leg openings. They were difficult to get out. Also the hose connections are much shorter than the originals, making the hoses difficult to attach. Otherwise, the pump works fine so far.

This pump fits fine on my Excell VR2522, one of the most popular pressure washers sold. It is not "plug and play", but attaches with minimal mechanical know how. You'll need three bolts about 1½" longer than motor mounting bolts, since it attaches differently than original pump, three lock washers and a 3/16" key. Remove the bolt-on collar over the motor shaft, used to attach original pump, by loosening one socket screw.Slide this pump over the motor shaft with the key in place and bolt to the three hole configuration of the motor with the longer bolts. The inlet and outlet is a little shorter than original. You can lengthen with fittings or choose not to put the plastic bottom of the pressure washer back on so you can access the inlet and outlet for hose connecting. This pump is more powerful than the original.
