## Description

For the first time Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D delivers the intense Mercenaries gameplay experience on a handheld console. Featuring re-mastered stages from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, it's a race against time as players try to defeat as many enemies as possible before the countdown reaches zero. The fast-paced, combat intensive action of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is available both as a solo experience or gamers across the world can team up and enjoy two-player co-op via network play. Gamers will have the opportunity to tackle the game's missions with legendary Resident Evil characters from past and present and face off against some of the most terrifying enemies, such as the Executioner and Popo Karimu. Playable characters include Chris Redfield, Krauser, Hunk, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker and, making her debut in a Mercenaries game, Claire Redfield. Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D includes the addition of an all new Skill Slot feature. Players are able to fill three skill slots from a selection of 30 skills including improvements to weapons performance, reload speed or melee abilities and customize characters to best suit their style of play. While the gameplay will be familiar to those who have previously played Mercenaries, changes have been implemented to take advantage of the new hardware, most notably transforming the stages and characters to full 3D plus the ability for players to move and shoot and the addition of touch screen functionality to switch weapons on the fly. Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will also include a playable demo of the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS title, Resident Evil Revelations. Take control of Jill Valentine and experience the horror to come in this all new Resident Evil title.

Review: RE Mercenaries 3D - Go read every review on desertcart, IGN and G4. I don't care which side you will take, but this is my opinion of the game. This is my favorite 3DS game to date. As the title implies, this is RE Mercenaries on a hand-held. First thoughts are obvious, poor graphics/fps, gameplay and sound while comparing to the previous mercenaries on PS3 or X Box 360. Let me rephrase. This is RE Mercenaries on a hand-held, and it's an incredible experience for an actual fan of the Mercenaries. There's no story, no plot, no suspense, and no zombies. This is just a race to kill 150 las plagas infected enemies to earn points. Featuring customizable weapons and skills for characters, three RE4 levels with the RE5 combo system and the more advanced challenge of the EX levels. The graphics are incredible, it's beautifully redesigned. Along with original music, as well as classics you'll be glad to hear again. The controls are very smooth and comfortable which also allow you to move while shooting and/or reloading. You are able to change weapons between characters and also upgrade skills by earning skill points by clearing missions. You have eight characters(each with an alternate costume so you'd have to beat each mission sixteen times) with their own unique style of combat attacks. If you love RE for the action get Mercenaries. Here are the problems with the game. I was hoping for more characters and maps, but Capcom really hates Leon Kennedy for some reason. It's not too big of a problem, just a bit of a let down. That still didn't stop me from purchasing the game, and it wouldn't. There are moments when the enemies appear "choppy" and stand still but it only happens while playing online. Any system with online play has these problems, it's a very minute(not time) problem that will pop in when there's a bad online connection or interference. Last but not least here's a few shots back. Don't comment because I'm not wasting my time having cyber arguments. The save feature is ingenious, this should be on every game, and every system. Obviously people have never mastered a game and had to remaster it when it the files were erased. Just unequip the skills and the difficulty remains along with your scores. If somebody purchased a Nintendo 3DS, then gripes that it's over priced and has to borrow or buy used, something seems a little wrong with that picture. The economy is bad, if you can't afford it don't play it. The name of the game is Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D, look up a trailer before you spend forty dollars if you're unaware what the Mercenaries is. The game is exactly what the title implies. Finally, I'll guarantee that one-hundred percent of the people bashing this game will never pull off a solo 150 combo. For actual fans of Mercenaries, they know what I'm talking about. Great work Nintendo and Capcom.
Review: Big deal, only one save. BUY IT NEW!!! - Everyone is giving it one star reviews because you can't overwrite the save file! IT'S DAY ONE OF IT BEING RELEASED! WHERE WOULD YOU FIND IT USED??? If you're a REAL Resident Evil fan, you'll buy this game new and give CAPCOM the money they deserve anyway. Now to the game itself: It has the best graphics on the system BY FAR. It almost looks like you're playing it on your PS3 or 360. And the gameplay for this version of Mercenaries has improved upon the gameplay of the older home console versions quite a bit. Instead of just wiggling a stick to escape being grabbed, you actually have to press a series of buttons that flash up on the screen, and if you press the wrong one you take damage. As you get further into the levels of the game, the enemies become increasingly difficult to kill (meaning they take more shots to put down) unlike the home console versions. The cast of characters you can use and levels you can play at is nearly flawless. I say NEARLY flawless because they are missing Leon and Ada. AND YOU CAN MOVE AND SHOOT FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN A RESIDENT EVIL GAME!!! But the best addition to this game, by far, is the added RPG elements to it. You acquire "Skills" for many different attributes (ex. pistol handling, health recovery, exp boosters) and you gain skill points for them by completing levels. Each skill maxes out at level 3, so having 3 skills equipped at level 3 can really help you if you're stuck on a rather difficult level (and believe me, the levels get pretty hard in single player.) BUT THAT'S WHY THERE IS ONLINE CO-OP IN THIS GAME! That's right, just like in Resident Evil 5, you can go online and find a partner to help you with a specific stage. I'm saying this game is amazing not just because I am a huge Resident Evil fan, but because it just might be the best game on the system in terms of graphics, gameplay, sound, and replayability. Buy it and enjoy the endless amount of time you will put into trying to get a SS rank on every level with every character.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it come with the manual if bought new (shrink wrap) in 2023?**
A: If it's shrink wrap it should come with the manual, but I think all manual are digital now and are on the game menu

**Q: Can you play versus or survivers like in RE5?**
A: Yes, but it has to be ONLINE for versus, and "survivers" is the hard mode in the game.

**Q: Does this game play on ds lite**
A: Unfortunately it wouldn't work on the original DS, DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL. But will work only on the 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL, and New 2DS XL.

**Q: Does it come with manual and original case ?**
A: You will have to read the individual seller description to find out.
