This honing compound is used straight on the T-3, T-4, or T-7 leather wheel strop (or the profiled leather honing wheels) to remove burrs and polish tool edges to razor sharpness. Used after the grinding stone, this 3-micron honing compound (approximately 8000 grit) will buff and polish the edges of Tools, Knives, Wood Chisels, Plane Irons, Spoke Shaves, Carving Tools, Lathe Turning Tools, and Scissors. One application should last for 5–10 tools. This will do it! *by J***T on March 28, 2017* Used it to sharpen/polish my Norelco electric razor head. Sixty seconds and the two year old blades were performing just about like new ones. The new head now costs an amazing $60, the cheap $12 Chinese imitations work pretty good for the first week, and they start plucking instead of trimming. This tube of honing compound is about a lifetime supply for most guys. A little dab pushed up from the underside of each blade set, using a Q-tip to push it up so that it is on top the blades, run the razor for 1 minute, wash thoroughly and enjoy the feel of a new blade. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little goes a long way and it worked better than I expected. *by C***D on January 25, 2018* This actually surpassed my expectations. I use it in a bench top leather strop . I liked it so well I pretty much and honed or polished every blade in the house. If it starts to cake up and gets messy, just scrape it off and add a little more and spread it out. It seemed to work better the more I used it. I will definitely buy again and will likely buy some for gifts to give to my knife sharpening loving friends and family. I did notice the price seems to fluctuate up or down a dollar or so from time to time. But either way, it seems worth the price asked so far. I have not used it on a wheel though. I may have to find one or make one to use it with. I was worried it might have a strong odor like some metal polishes have but this has a very light scent that seems to not linger once it dries. Not sure how it compares to the other honing or polishing compounds out there as I am somewhat new to this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than expected; small tube though...! *by S***T on January 2, 2016* Applied a small amount to CLEAN smooth leather strop, let it dry, applied a little more. Worked great! Used on some serious steels too, including elmax, zdp189, and 3V. Its been easier to apply lately, as i now apply a DAB of mineral oil first and really rub it in. Leaves a nive clean edge, and well polished bevel/micro bevel.
