Not too thick, not too thin. Just the right amount of cushion.
I have a pilonidal sinus under my tailbone, and I have a first-gen Aeron with PostureFit at home. While the original mesh seat isn't *bad* (owing to its tendency to bow downward slightly, reducing pressure at the center), I felt it could use some improvement. I did sometimes find that the plastic edges dug in slightly as well, especially if I slipped forward on the seat, and the pressure on my coccyx was noticeable too in that case. I do want to emphasize that in the two years I've owned it, I've never felt the Aeron uncomfortable in actual use - just that its comfort level could be improved upon. Because the PostureFit's support can't be raised up higher, I didn't want a thicker cushion that would significantly alter how I fit into this chair. I wanted something that was just thick enough to take the pressure off, and that wouldn't get too hot. This cushion fits the bill perfectly. I'd guesstimate it to be between one and two inches thick, and it's not particularly dense. It's only making me sit a half inch higher, if that, so the lumbar support is still where I need it. Despite that, it does take the pressure off my sit bones and tailbone, and the chair's ergonomics are otherwise preserved - it's still a supportive seat, it's just a little more comfortable now. The cushion also draws no attention to itself (at least, on the black Aeron) and does a decent job of staying put. It doesn't even get warm - it does warm up a little, but it's probably still the coolest seat in the house. And if I slide forward, it's a LOT more comfortable than before. I'm no longer aware of where the edges are.My only criticism is that the velcro ties could be improved by having the velcro run the entire length of the strap, so those of us who prefer a tighter fit can actually get it.If you like your Aeron already, you'll love this cushion. It makes the Aeron a better version of itself, so if that's what you're looking for, this is very much worth trying.

NOT WORTH IT!
This pad is NOT worth $100 bucks! I thought i was ordering a whole chair! I feel as if i got duped! It’s a regular chair pad and does absolutely NOTHING for support, comfort. It’s the equivalent of a rolled up towel.

Dramatically helped sciatic pain
For some reason, mesh chairs like the Aeron aggravate my sciatic nerve. I've tried other third-party cushions that aren't designed specifically for the Aeron chair with limited degrees of success, but have never found something that completely eliminated the pain. This cushion does that. With it, I can sit comfortably for hours without any leg or lower back pain (I actually need an alarm now to tell me that I need to get up and move). Yes, it's pricey, but if you've plunked down $2000 or more on a chair, and you suffer from sciatic (or any leg/lower-back pain) this cushion is worth the extra money.

Not for me
Ok seat cushion with great seat cover. Just not for me. I became a little uncomfortable after half an hour or so. Way over priced. Returned

Worth the money
I never write reviews but I'm so impressed with this product that I felt like I had to submit one. I've had the cushion for over six months and sit on it all day long at least five days a week and it still looks like new. It hasn't lost its shape or grudged out in the least bit. I was also impressed that it fit the Hermon Miller Aeron chair perfectly (I have the medium size) and the texture/weave of the fabric is very complimentary to the open mesh design of the chair. Yes, the cushion is a bit pricey but if you have an HM Aeron chair the last thing you want to do is junk it up with a cushion that doesn't work or complement the chair. And best of all it is very comfortable and makes the chair great for all day use.

Easiest purchase I've made
It makes sitting cross legged on the Aeron a possibility. Now I don't have the sides of the chair digging in my thighs. Adds a lot more comfort!

CUSHION GOES FLAT
When the item arrived, it felt light, not like the dense foam layer I was expecting. After using this in a desk chair for a couple of hours, the cushion flattens. Not sufficiently resilient. Also, there are two ties with Velcro closures. Most desk chairs have one metal bar going from the seat to the back. The fabric is slick and pops off the seat - a bit dangerous. I used an additional piece of Velcro to span the cushion across the back, but the cushion works forward still and I don't trust the Velcro strap alone to keep it in place.

Ruins Aeron's Ergonomics
I agree with the other 1-star review from June 15, 2023. The cushion makes you sit 2 inches higher in the chair, which ruins the ergonomics because there's no way to adjust the Aeron's backrest height. This is is even worse if you have the Atlas Aeron headrest attachment, which is then too low to reach your head, causing you to slouch.
