MartinLogan Motion 40i
These MartinLogan Motion 40i speakers are beautiful in red walnut, and sound absolutely amazing. I have these in the main living room as part of a 5.1 channel setup powered by a Yamaha RX-V6A receiver for watching movies, TV shows, football, and listening to music. As with any revealing speaker that offers this much detail and resolution, low quality content will sound really bad. But high quality recordings in lossless audio formats are simply sublime and audiophile nirvana. Tight bass, pleasant mids, and oh so sweet highs without any harshness. Be sure to give these time to break-in, as they will sound much better after a week or two, when the mids fill in and the tweeters settle. There are other speakers using AMT tweeters that have a similar sound signature for less money, but they don't look nearly as good as these MartinLogans or have the same build quality. Having owned many speakers over the years, including JVC, Polk, Emotiva, Klipsch, Kef, Ascend, and Dali, these are my favorite and I can absolutely recommend MartinLogan speakers to fellow audiophiles.

Great Sound
I use these speakers for my home theater along with a subwoofer. I love these speakers. I used to be an audiophile until I came to my senses. I mention this because sound quality is number one. The audio quality is excellent. The sound stage is very good, and the speakers disappear leaving only the music. And the speakers look fantastic. Used with my subwoofer and my home theater system, I am 100% satisfied. I believe the price is reasonable and I don't think spending the extra $1000 on the upgraded version is cost effective. I highly recommend these speakers and I believe you will not be disappointed.

Very nice speakers.
I really like the clarity without any harshness or fatigue. The footprint on these is small compared to most speakers in its class 7 1/2” x 11”. They must be using the connectors and grills in the factory specs. I have had speakers costing thousands more, like Usher, Focal, Selah that all sounded very good but didn’t sound better than these. I have had the Martin Logan Motion 8i center channel speaker for a few years and have not heard any center speaker I like better. I purchased these based on my experience with those and the reviews. These speakers sounded a little choked at first but opened up after an hour.
