American Soy Organics Freedom Soy Wax Beads, All-Natural Candle Wax, 10 lbs

I am new at candle making and decided to try this wax since it had such good reviews. It melted very quickly and easily, into a very smooth consistency. I was able to mix my fragrance oils very easily as well, the mix poured evenly into my candle containers and levelled perfectly. It only took a few hours for my 8oz candles to solidify, the wick was able to hold well in this wax and not shift around from the center. The color is perfectly white, no discoloration at all (I did not use any colorants) and adhesion to the container was good. The size of the bag is as advertised and will make many 8oz candles, I've made several already and haven't used half of the bag. The wax melts evenly and allows for the added fragrance to shine as long as you add enough percentage, I added somewhere between 6 - 8%. Overall it feels like good quality wax and I am very happy with my purchase. The value for the money gets better the bigger quantity of wax you buy, but if you are just starting out and don't want to commit to very large amount of wax, this 5 lb bag is a good value. I would definitely recommend this wax.

Very happy with this soy wax. It was easy to work with and worked great for making candles at home. The wax melted well and was straightforward to use throughout the process. Everything turned out nicely, and I was pleased with the results. Good quality and exactly what I needed. Five stars.

Big ol’ bag o’ wax for a big ol’ candle makin’ time! Yes haw!! Got this 10 pounder today after a quick delivery-less than a day from phone to door. Bought some awesome little tins and I have a great “volcano” dupe scent like Anthropologie. I used my little kit, did the math out, measured out my wax and boom! I made 10 small candles that are totally bad ass in about 20 minutes. This wax melted easily, it was quick and smooth and didn’t have much of a scent out of the bag so it made a great base to add scent oil to. It pours smooth and then once it is set it makes the most gorgeous and smooth surface for professional looking candles. The scent oil blended in with it fantastically and I couldn’t be happier with the end result-next time I’ll add 1% to my wax instead of 0.5% to make them a little stronger, but that didn’t have anything to do with the wax itself, just the amount of scented oil I added to the melted soy I was making the candles with. I have used other wax flakes that have really set poorly and been anything but smooth once they cool, but this wax is wonderful and performed just as advertised. I will most definitely come to this seller again for the same product the next time I need to order bulk soy wax to make some money saver candles or for gifts to give family and friends. I was not disappointed and would be stoked to give these candles out to people I love because they look so perfect! I did not add any die blocks or liquid coloring to this soy yet, I will most likely do that on some of my larger candles, but for this batch I kept it simple and just kept them the off white color the wax came in. I do believe that this would be a great medium for any type of dye you want to add to the wax and don’t think anyone wanting to make colored wax candles would have any issue at all with adding coloring to it nicely. If I try it I’ll update my review though!! In summary this wax was awesome and I will definitely purchase again and suggest anyone purchase it as well if you’re hopping on a candle making train like I have been as of late! It will not disappoint!

I love how much wax I received and for such a great price. It doesn’t smell like much and it’s easy to melt. It melts and works exactly like soy wax.

This is about my fifth time ordering this soy wax. It is a favorite. This time it has been slightly too soft, resulting in candles that release the wick a bit too easily, resulting in the wick floating in the soy wax. This has not happened before. I will continue to use this product, as it works well generally. This particular batch is just a bit off.

I just bought these to start making DIY candles for the holidays! These are great! These melt so nice and hold onto fragrance oil so well! These are excellent if you want to start making diy candles this year! Just finished my first 5lb bag and I’m definitely going to order more!

I’ve tried several soy waxes over the years, and this one has been one of the easiest to work with. The beads melt evenly, cool nicely, and make the candle-making process much less messy compared to large wax blocks. I also appreciate that it’s natural and easy to measure out for different batch sizes. The finished candles had a smooth appearance with a really nice scent throw once cured. It blended well with fragrance oils and performed consistently in multiple jar sizes. I had minimal frosting and good overall burn performance with the right wick pairing. Definitely a solid option for beginners and experienced candle makers alike.
