LAS VEGAS: SEASON ONE
Great series. Love it.....!!! Well done. Fun. Funny.. there's always some kind of a game or scam going on so it moves fast and is enjoyable. Being a casino with lots of gambling and money involved, the opportunists are always aplenty!!!!! Love the regular characters. Great series!!!

One more gripe about that stupid new theme song!
I'm a big fan of Las Vegas - both the city and the television show - so I was ecstatic to hear that a first-season DVD was ready for release so soon. Now I can watch it without annoying commercials and at a more convenient time.Imagine how disappointed I was to start the second episode and hear what sounded like a terrible audio problem where I should be hearing Elvis' booming baritone!I'm not a musically inclined person; I'm one of those people for whom music videos were invented. It's often the case that a song doesn't even reach my ears until it's paired with a great visual. It's likely I've heard Elvis' "Little Less Conversation" many times but never paid attention until it was played over the opening to this show.To me, a show's theme song is a character in the program. It's the greeter at a casino or the warm-up band at a concert. Imagine, for example, if the theme to Green Acres had been performed by a screaming heavy metal band. Having that lumpy, draggy replacement tune open for Las Vegas when I was expecting the Elvis number had the same effect as if Josh Duhamel were replaced by lame, uninspiring Josh Hartnett in each of the episodes.Regardless of the opening song problem, this DVD set is great for fans of the show. There are so many reasons to like this show: authentic sets, quick pacing, eye candy (for both sexes, I'm told, but catering more to us men) and Danny's cool yellow '69 Camaro. As many times as I've been to the city of Las Vegas, I can imagine its behind-the-scenes dramas and stories being similar to those in the show.My only criticism of the show since episode one is that the scripts seem like first drafts that never go through revision. They have some real gems in them, but no one takes the time to polish them and arrange them in a quality manner. Changes in plot are manhandled like a drunk getting escorted from the blackjack tables.I hope more attention is paid to the writing in future episodes. Maybe the studio will hire more staff so scripts don't have to be rushed into production now that the show is a success.

las vegas for a total newcomer
hi we are from england and recently honeymooned in las vegas,,when we returned sort of had that missing feeling so stumbling through amazon under las vegas i saw this series advertised i thought what the heck ill try it..not knowing anything about it..now after watching the entire series we are hooked and looking foward to series two very shortly, all the actors are very good and you soon get used to them and their personalities theirs not a great deal of las vegas outside shots and when you watch the extras youll find out why but as a tv series this stands up very good and enjoyable fun with a pinch of salt, as sometimes you think thats a bit too far past the ordinary but thats the wonder of these series they make you forget about your life for 40 minutes and you sink into theirs.and their really are some pretty ladies in their too which always help..so if your looking for a nice tv series to try i would recomend this 4 stars because its vandamme story was a bit over the top for us..thanks

Chemistry of this show
I am definitely a Las Vegas show fan. I normally don't watch many TV series shows at all. Most series come and go without me seeing a single episode. I started watching this one by accident and have now watched most every one (through renting them as I never seemed to be able to be consistent at watching it on TV regularly). The chemistry between characters stood out to me and it was one of the things that attracted me to it. I just don't see chemistry between characters like that very much at all and it's quite refreshing to watch. The show was very well done and entertaining and ranks up there with the best series I have seen to date. I was so bummed it got cancelled, it was one of a kind and I will surely miss it.

Worth the money!
Only 1 disk had minor damage. Still a great value for a series so difficult to find.

Good series
DVD packed correctly with shrink wrapped and device included. Sorry im not good at giving a review in detail on cast, dialog, script, plot or acting like most of the really good reviews i have seen some are really professional grade reviews which helps in future purchases. But i will at least try to review how they arrive in hand.

Very Interesting.
Bought the 1st one to see what it's like. Shows much from the Security standpoint as to what happens in a casino. Very Interesting overall. Worth a look, but I understand that the manufacturer of Season # 2 screwed up the disks when they made them so most are unplayable. From this knowledge, it hardly seems worthwhile to purchase all 5 seasons as a complete set. A shame. Then again, I found Season # 1 enough.
