Simple, great taste with minimal effort!
I made a quinoa in my rice cooker as part of my quinoa bowl for dinner. I rinsed it once, then soaked it in water for a couple hours before cooking it in the rice cooker (though rinsing and soaking it is not a requirement). I don't know how much water I used, since I just filled the water up to a line in my rice cooker, but it came out great! I'm not familiar with quinoa, so I don't know how this product compares to other quinoas. This was my first time making it. Hopefully I made it right. It was soft, but also almost had a "popping" texture like masago does. The bowl came out well. In case anyone is interested, I just added a bunch of veggies (spinach, corn, black beans, tomatoes, edamame), avocado, and an over-easy egg.

Actual fluffy delicious Bolivian quinoa
I was born in La Paz, Bolivia and grew up eating a ton of quinoa as is custom there since it's a super grain. For many years after moving to the US, it has been difficult to find quinoa that resembled my memories of the quinoa in Bolivia. The quinoa I found at most super markets in the US was hard, small, and when cooked did not get super soft and fluffy like I was used to and preferred. That is, until I tried soul organics quinoa, this quinoa is the best quinoa I've found in the US. It is just like what I remember from Bolivia and when cooked it gets soft and fluffy and delicious. I like making "Pastel de Quinoa", basically a quinoa cheese casserole (delicious!), and quinoa salads. This is the only quinoa I will purchase moving forward.

Excellent product at a great price - and some free recipes, too!
We think this quinoa is as good as any we've purchased. For the price paid, we'd consider it an excellent value. Our seller, Soul Organics, also sends a recipe book as a PDF. We've only tried two of their recipes so far, but they were pretty good, and there's a lot of variety in the recipes offered. It's a nice little bonus. One thing we've noticed is that we tend to need a little less water than the recipe on the bag calls for. The bag asks for 1.75c water to 1c quinoa, we use more like 1.5c water. Perhaps this is because we do rinse the product prior to use, so there is some water retention. If you end up with a little too much water at the end of the cooking time, just vent the lid on your pot for a few extra minutes before taking the cooked quinoa off heat to rest. We'll definitely buy this again.

Great taste
I love that I can't taste any of the bitter quinoa tannin taste I'm used to, that's turned me off of quinoa in the past. I also appreciate the resealable bag. The first thing I used this for was a Thai red curry quinoa salad for a potluck (see image). It went over so well that people were asking to take some home with them! Since then I've made it various ways, sometimes just with water, and it's always turned out great. I also love that they source from farms that use sustainable farming practices, and that they uphold free trade standards. I'm definitely a fan of this quinoa.

Not good...
This quinoa does not taste or cook like any quinoa I have purchased before. I will stick to what I find in the store in smaller packages so I will not be stuck with 4 pounds of bad quinoa. I do not through away food and will eat it without much pleasure.

I'm adicted to this quinoa!
I love to make a big batch of it and keep it in the fridge. I love to put quinoa in a bowl and put a little chicken broth over it (just enough to moisten it so it won't dry out in the microwave. Sprinkle a little himilayan sea salt on it when heated and eat. Sometime, I'll mix in a little smoked mozzarella or shredded parmasean on it and that also ads flavor.

Fantastic food
I eat a plant based diet and quinoa is a big part of it. I'm 62, healthy as a horse, never get sick, don't take any medicines and I still have great sex with regularity. This quinoa is great tasting and works great in a variety of dishes. Go ahead and stuff yourself with meat, I'll be the one dancing on your grave ( and still getting laid ).

Cooks up light and fluffy, great rice substitute
Cooked up very light and fluffy, served it for the family with chicken curry in place of rice and everyone liked it. I sometimes also make it in the morning and have it with milk and a little maple syrup and walnuts for a filling breakfast. The big bag lasts a long time.
