Hard to Discribe How Bad These Faux Caramels Really Are
I have been on the AIP diet for sometime and mostly cook and create my own AIP compliant food. I should have realized that these faux caramels would be pretty much a fail since I have attempted so many recipes that end up tasting so bad that they go down the disposal. So, with that in mind I stick to pretty basic AIP fare. My health has greatly improved but my longing for the good old bad days of eating whatever I wanted has not gone away. So, when I saw these overly expensive faux caramels I instantly suspended my knowing and understanding about everything I know for certain from my own eating and cooking experience living the AIP diet. I knew these faux caramels would probably taste like something unmentionable but my brain replaced that thought with longing and magical thinking and all my brain thought was caramels. I made myself believe that because they were so expensive (4.74 an ounce: ouch) and I hadn’t made them myself that, that would be the magic that would make them tastey and editable. Once I popped one of the expensive horrible little brown balls of indescribable ick in my mouth I was instantly transported back to the true reality of the AIP diet and the reality that I will never eat anything even close to tasting like a caramel again. Save your money and just blend up some dates and make a paste and dip sliced apples in it. I can assure you it tastes better and you will save yourself the magical thinking and a lot of money. Because of price and taste the faux caramels can only muster a one star from me.

Delicious but know what your buying
These are super yum and work well to appease my love for caramel. I will be buying more.. and more.. and more. That being said, look at the ingredients and know what your buying. Don't complain that this isn't caramel once you buy it and realize you made a mistake.

I think they are delicious
Some people were saying they taste burnt. What a bunch of babies! The “burnt” taste is very, very slight. These taste 99% like regular caramel. Or maybe I just got a really good batch. They get some points deducted for being 230 calories for 2!!! Which is extreme. Coconut is high in calories naturally but I wasn’t expecting that high of a number. I was so preoccupied with checking the ingredients I ignored the nutritional value. Definitely something to eat sparingly. If you’re looking at this for a traditional diet plan I’d say “no”. I’m on a medical elimination diet (AIP) so these are exactly what I need. The other issue is the price. Wow. I was expecting a lot more candy for that $25 price. Can’t say I’d buy them again on a regular basis for that price point. But definitely as a holiday treat.I think this is probably something I could learn to make myself to be honest, and I’m a terrible chef.Overall I think they are great for people who crave something sweet but aren’t allowed to have traditional sugar candies.Definitely something to buy for a special occasion in my opinion. The taste and consistency, in my opinion, is very nice.

Delicious!
These caramels are perfect! I actually would prefer this brand of caramel to any other - healthy or unhealthy! I guess part of what makes them so good is the fact that they are healthy. I find it difficult to eat them in moderation, especially since I have tried to cut out extra sugar and this is my only guilty pleasure. I will admit, I have gone over the 2 pieces serving a few times!

Dangerously delicious
These are so good and just melt in your mouth! Absolutely worth it as a treat every once in a while. However, because they’re on the expensive side for the amount you get, I won’t be buying them often.

Great but eat in moderation if AIP 100%
These are amazing!!! Melt in your mouth goodness. Although if you are doing AIP, I would recommend eating these in moderation. In fact, if you are doing AIP for 30 days definitely not eat these. If you’re more long term go for it in moderation since you want to keep your sugar intake low. Eating in moderation will be hard!!

Burnt Taste
They taste burnt! I opened the package and you could smell the burnt smell! I tried one anyway and the taste was burnt and the aftertaste was terrible! Maybe I got a bad batch, but at $18, I won't waste more money on these. Don't waste your money! Horrible! If I could give 0 stars I would.

These were so amazing I don't know that I could buy them again ...
These were so amazing I don't know that I could buy them again (guilty pleasure). They lasted about a minute in my house, as most of us don't have any self control when it comes to treats. For those looking for an allergen-free caramel I would highly recommend Sweet Apricity, they've really outdone themselves with this recipe. Yum!
