500 Paper Objects: New Directions in Paper Art (500 Series)

I must not have read enough about the book before purchasing it. I was disappointed so read the description carefully before buying. It's just a picture book.

I have been looking for different approaches to ways to express myself through the use of recycled paper. This book is filled with ideas that are sure to end up in future projects. Keep in mind that this book is NOT a "how-to" manual, but a gallery of fascinating and innovative ways to upcycle almost any kind of paper. I will definitely draw from some of these ideas for my work!

If you like the format of the 500 series you will like this book. Lots of gorgeous photos of beautifully artistic works. I guess I would like to know a little more about the artists and how the objects came into being.

The title is misleading because it says "directions". While I like the book, I would have liked at least a few directions. This is more of a coffee table book.

Good reading. A nice survey book about what you can do with paper. Well designed. Good ideas. We'll keep the book.

Good inspirational book, creative ideas, but no instructions on how to make the items pictured. Some of them are pretty good designs and it would be nice to learn how to make them, but this is more of an "art" book, showing what other artists have created. Very creative ideas.

Although I bought this book to see what might be done with paper in jewelry making, I found the whole book very inspiring with many ideas that could be applied in some way to jewelry. It's a wonderful addition to the "500 Series" and to my collection of them.

Some of the ideas in this book are really spectacular as I am now at the stage in life where I am taking the time to explore new avenues of artistic expression but, what passes for art these days doesn't deserve a second look in my opinion.

Not the best book from this series of GREAT books.As is the usual format, we have page after page of photos of work by different artists.The problem is the work chosen to be reproduced, some is quite woeful and rather mediocre.If money is tight, then don't spend your cash on this book.

I bought this for my son as a Christmas present - he loved it. Wonderful inspiring work. Please be aware though that this is not a book with instructions on how to make any of these objects!

A wonderful book, amazing examples of artistic application and ingenuity. Inspiring - I dip into it and find myself hooked for a long time!

I expected more, but it is not the seller's fault! Too much boring and primitive items, I am interested in art.
