Useless flimsy item from a careless seller
Had to return first delivery due to lack of any batteries or power cable.The replaced item was very carelessly repacked and again did not have either batteries or power cable.I tried using it with my own batteries but the machine just did not move, not even without a cassette in it.Such vendors give bad name to the steller services provided by Amazon and need to be weeded out.

Does a good job
I used this for converting old music festival tapes to MP3. The originals were done on portable cassette recorders, so the fidelity wasn't great, so I don't know how this device would behave on better source material. But for my purposes, it worked great and the final sound quality equaled the source. Really easy to use (though the instructions weren't great), and a great value.
