Two CD live release. Camel At The Royal Albert Hall celebrates Camel's superb Moonmadness 2018 tour. Universally acclaimed by everyone that saw it, the RAH concert was the pinnacle of the tour. With the line-up of Andrew Latimer (guitar/flute/vocals), Colin Bass (bass/vocals), Denis Clement (drums) and Pete Jones (keyboards/vocals), this is Camel at their best.

I have enjoyed listening to Camel since the 1970s and again they don't disappoint an outstanding live album.

Camel still on great melodic form after all these years
OK I'm possibly biased as a long term fan of Camel, but this double live CD from their 2018 tour is excellent, with superb soaring guitar work from Andy Latimer, keyboards and sax from Pete Jones and the solid rhythm section of Colin Bass and Denis Clements. The inclusion of Pete Jones in the band has also helped improve the quality of the vocals, which in recent years have not been Camel's strongest point. The set list comprises the entire Moonmadness album from 1976, followed by a selection from albums from Mirage (Lady Fantasy) through to Rajaz (Sahara). Stand-outs for me include the instrumental Ice and the less well-known Chord Changes from Moonmadness, but almost every song has one of those characteristic guitar melodies to draw you in. The playing is all excellent, sound quality is fine and, apart from one or two minor issues with harmonies, the vocals work well. If you like Camel, don't hesitate to buy. If you are yet to discover them, you could do a lot worse than start with this set.

Great music, damaged goods
The music itself is five stars - some of the best Live Camel I've heard on record. But on my 1st order cd 2 was physically damaged so returned. But on 2nd order cd case damaged - hence only four stars

Back to the future
A fine document of a triumphant tour from 2018. The current line-up is the strongest since the days of Pete Bardens, Andy Ward & Doug Ferguson. Colin Bass & Denis Clement give great support but it is Andy & Pete who really grab your attention. Andy Latimer sounds as good a player as he ever was, amazing considering his health issues, but the real revelation here is Pete Jones. I was very excited when they recruited Pete, as would anyone be if you look at his youtube clips - what a talent. On this CD he brings to Camel what they have never had - a great singer - and that is a new dimension. Their excursion back to the Moonmadness album of 1976 is well presented here and it's probably the best part of the CD. I wondered if I needed another version but Pete's vocals add something to the mix. Disc Two is not quite as remarkable due to a few track choices but it does contain the stand out moment of the night 'Rajaz' with Pete's sax solo and then 'Ice' with a sublime Latimer solo. It wraps up with a brilliant version of the old favourite 'Lady Fantasy'. Well worth acquiring and hopefully more to come in the future.

Sensational........
Yes it is a sensational live album from a revamped Camel..the UK stalwarts deliver a majestic performance.Recorded in 2018 at the Royal Albert Hall playing their 1976 master piece 'Moon Madness' in full, given thts my favouritre Camel studio disc im as happy a a pig in the proverbial muck. The music glides from the speakers as the album is performed, then assorted tracks ,deep cuts from across the catalogue before a quite superb encore 'Lady Fantasy' brings everything full circle with the early years classic.Sensational stuff this line up every bit as good as previous line up's,the odd weak vocal notwithstanding this is practically flawless.

Camel ROCKS!
My wife and I were in London on holiday in August of 2018 and took a tour of The Royal Albert Hall. I picked up a Camel handbill while there. Thinking to myself, I'd love to see this show. Cool enough! I bought the CD Moonmadness Live at R.A.H. and it a Fantastic concert! I've been playing it for two weeks now. Love Camel 🐫❤

Live performance so good I had to have the CD!
I bought the Live performance video and I was so blown away that I just had to have the CD set to listen to it wherever I go. Pete Jones' performance on the keyboards deeply honors the Camel roots with Pete Bardens, and his vocals are stellar and then he whips out Saxophone solos! This version of Camel is so tight and comfortable together its like Andy has brought them full circle.Bravo! If you haven't gotten the Video, give yourself a treat as well. The Royal Albert is amazing.
