Gets sharp pictures on all available channels
This antenna works really well. I had a flat panel RCA with an amplifier, which I thought was the best antenna I could find. It did not get all channels in my area consistently though. I saw this Phillips, and thought, that should get really good reception because it's curved instead of flat, and has a reflector.I does meet my expectations, I can get all channels consistently with clear pictures. Also this does not need an amplifier. I have a second tv about 30 feet from the antenna and it can send the strongest channels to that tv without an amplifier. I did find however, that with a channel with a week signal, I had to add an amplifier to get that channel along with the others. There are two curved disks, one is marked, must face the transmission towers. the other is a reflector. So when setting it up, be sure the correct side is facing the direction of the transmitter towers in the area. There are online sources that can identify transmitter directions within the receiving location.

Excellent for rural location!
This is the best TV antenna out there. I now have two of these. Works so much better than the first flat antennas we bought a couple of years ago. Super impressed with the signal even in a remote area.

Better than nothing
I probably should have purchased the low-end model. Tried several locations for the antenna, but doesn’t seem to be working very well. I live pretty close to a tower, but maybe I need to place the antenna right next to a window. I’m going to try several other antennas first.

It works and is incredibly easy to set up
I already own one of these Optima antennas, they are simple to use, and they work amazingly well - even in bad weather in a big city where you don't always get the best reception. I have used other antennas that don't work nearly as well. This one does not need to be plugged into an electrical outlet. It cost $55.00 elsewhere. I wanted another for a second tv, and saw Amazon sells them new for less at $45.00 and also that Amazon offered one that was "like new" but the box was damaged for $20.00. I am very picky, but I took a chance, and the item arrived well packaged in an Amazon box. The original box inside was slightly damaged, but the Optima itself looked brand new and works great. Great way to give an item a second chance and better for the environment. Thanks, Amazon!

Ok, but not very many channels
Bought this to see if it was better than another flat antenna and no real difference, still limited reception in my location which is not great, so wasn’t expecting drastic change but disappointed it wasn’t better..should work better for those close to station’s antenna

Disappointed
Lost more than half the channels I was getting with 4 year old $20 antenna. This was supposed to be an improvement, it wasn’t. It’s strange it wouldn’t be amplified, now I see the results of that

Great deal!
Works great! I’m picking up local stations without expensive server bill.

Junk
With this antenna installed, I received far fewer channels (about 50% less) than with my previous antenna (Amazon Basics Flat HD Antenna). Only three local affiliates were detected and one of them, a VHF station, (which is why I purchased this antenna - BTW), was unwatchable. I've since gone back to the flat HD antenna.

This thing gets less channels than my old antenna...
It seems to have worse range. I had to return it because reception was worse than the antenna I was hoping to replace, even with a booster.

Works as expected
Works as expected within the specified 30 mile range. Antenna reception can be affected by many variables so you really won’t know what you can get until you try. Any antenna that advertises ranges over 60 miles is simply not to be believed as the curvature of the earth will block the signals (sorry flat-earthers!) I’m in the eastern area of downtown Toronto and the antenna is on a second floor. I get all the major Canadian network channels plus several more including 3 from the USA. Given that the over the air signals are uncompressed the picture quality Is superior to cable.

Antenne Philips inopérante
Je dois être trop loin de l’antenne relais, car je ne reçois qu’un seul poste et il est de très mauvaise qualité. Puis-je vous le retourner et le remplacer par une antenne captant les signaux sur une plus grande distance?

Strong signal
I think the reception is not strong enough....I am in the city it supposed to be easy with an antenna like that, I do have to open the window behind my tv...but the signal could great if I found out that one of the antenna were not broken
