C-Line Name Badge Kits, Top Load, 3 1/2 X 2 1/4, Clear, 50/box

We have used a competitor's name tags for years, however the retail prices of that competitor have skyrocketed and we looked for an alternative, plus this time we only needed a few badge holders. While the competitor has available small package the prices at the local supply store are way too much.The C-Line Clip Style arrived today and we started to use them immediately. There are various software available for printing the name badges so I will to get into that. These badges like others are not actually clear since the plastic has a slight grain that makes any insert look a little dull. This clip holder is actually 1/8 in shorter than the competitors however the width on each was the same.I am more concerned about the clip as this is the single most complaint from the pin style since that puts holes in the material. The clip of the competitors is actually rounded off so that only the rounded edge of he clip touches the materials thus a snag free clip. On this particular clip the bottom of the clip is actually a metal horizontal edge that grips the material. If one moves the clip abruptly by try to remove the tag without first mashing the clip sides it could result with a scraped or torn piece of material depending on the type of material. I do not foresee this as being an issue with most materials however I might be a little concerned for example with silk or some other lightweight type materiel.The clips easily hold the name badge on to the materials and they look nice. I tested the "swivel" action of each and found no difference. The tags are certainly reusable however I have never found this to be a useful fact as we don't ask people to turn their tags back in. If you had a regular meeting or event that might be a possibility. As a side note the 3 ½ by 2 ¼ size seems to cost more than the large holders.This package of 25 came with name tag inserts that you can imprint. I would recommend these as a price saver with about the same quality as the more expensive brand.

I can't believe I'm actually reviewing name badges! But, with all the event planning I've done over the years, I've developed opinions about what a quality name badge should be. These clip-style badges are definitely a good choice. They're made of a higher-quality plastic than the top-loading clip-ons I've tried from Avery or other manufactures. And, unlike most other clip-on name badges, the plastic in these is basically a sleeve (3-sides are closed, and only the top is open), so the name badges don't slip out so easily like the top-loading ones. They're also available at a great price. So, you can easily move away from sticky or pin-backs (which some people don't like for fear of damaging clothing) without breaking the budget.One quick tip on loading the printed name tags: open each badge holder by sliding in three fingers. That will make the plastic a little more pliable, so it's easier to then insert the paper pieces.

I purchased these to use for coffee labels at work and they were perfect for what I was envisioning. I was previously using tent cards and they kept getting dripped on, so for a minimal price I was able to create professional looking labels that I could switch out into these tags and flip over as I clipped them onto the wire racks for our coffee. Problem solved and we got a lot more coffee drinkers with the stand-out labels there to guide the way!

I use these swivel clip badge holders at my club. People like to place them various places - shirt pockets, shirt collar, shirt button area, belt, hats. The clip swivels so one can rotate badge as needed. I like the slightly matte finish on the plastic. Looks good and can still easily read the badge. Well constructed, with slots for lanyard or pin if so desired.

These name badges are a great value for the price! We are using them over and over and they have held up well. We are very happy with them. Will buy them again when we need more.

I like the hardware, but not the software. Seems like the Avery software worked better, but the package price was higher. And I like these holders better.

We needed an alternative to pin badges. These are perfect.
