seems flimsy and light weight. spring does not open it completely. I think I could have done better buying something at the local drug store

So..i'm a musician and need to clip my nails often. I've owned many crappy nail clippers and a few nicer clippers over the years and these areamong the more interesting. First off is the size. They are a little smaller than typical toenail clippers, but signifigantly larger than most fingernail clippers. I love it. Nails clip quicker with less clips. Don't know why they are not all this size,. of course I don't have petite fingers either. The clippers themselves are obviously not cheaply constructed. They are a much more substantial weight/feel than cheap clippers. The edge grind is clean and tight with no obvious gap. They cut sharply, quickly, and with minimal effort. Unlike other reviews I have not had issues with them falling apart, and frankly,. i'm suprised others have had this issue. Sweet clippers. Finally some nail clippers that feel super sturdy for my thick toe nails (covering face). So far so good! I feel they will last and are good quality. My husband liked them as well. We keep this one handy and stored our other ones upstairs :)I did receive a discount for an honest opinion, but my opinion is honest :)

They came apart the first time I used them

These are great nail clippers. Sharp, heavy, good sized, and solidly constructed. They operate smoothly and look nice.I am attaching a photo for size reference. They are a great size for adult finger and toe nails, but probably too big for babies and young children. The very first time I used them the clipping lever came off and it continues to come off. I would not recommend these clippers.

These large clippers work well on both fingers and toes. They're sharp and precise and snip without snags. I like that they feel so weighty in my hand. They're definitely not cheap, lightweight clippers. I used to buy dollar store clippers and they drove me nuts. They didn't do a good job and they fell apart after a few uses.I recently got two really nice pairs of clippers - this pair and  Clyppi Fingernail Clipper - Now With Swing Out NAIL CLEANER / FILE! . I won't need clippers for ages if ever again! My husband used these tonight and he likes them. His toenails are so hard that many clippers cut jaggedly and he has resorted to using sharp small scissors. He can use these without any issues. There is no file on these which isn't a deal breaker but my other pair has a really nice file and a scoop type end that gets in and around the nails for easy cleaning. These are strictly for clipping the nails.The larger size makes them very convenient to use on both the hands and feet so there is no need to have two pairs of clippers.
