While they say it doesn't cover gray hair, it does! I have total gray/white hair around my face, gray streaks and dark brown elsewhere, and had been coloring my hair blondish for years. Now I only use a small amount of this in the shower daily and work through my hair, leaving for 5-10 minutes. It gives me a shimmery blondish look, vs. stark white. . . more like highlights. I started years ago with medium blond but progressed to medium brown and it works perfect. Saves me time and money, still on the same bottle after six months. I've received so many compliments. Worth a try?! (Note: If your hair turns brackish, just use purple shampoo once in a while during grow-out of your previous blonde color.

So I have used dpHUE gloss+ before, the before photo is a week after using Medium Brown, which I was consistantly using for a few weeks, and the afters are with copper. Whilist it is redder than I expected, I wanted more of just a warmth with copper and not really auburn which it turned out to be, I did leave it on for over an hour (Like I do with the medium brown) and I mean it WORKS. I am into it and wanted to experiment eaither way, but if you're not into red, don't try it! I like it, it got much brighter red after the first wash as you can see, but I think its a good bang for your buck, it looks super healthy (trust me, underneath all this gloss is a bleached decade hair mess) and proffesional look. I also love mixing the glosses, which I recommend if you are into that. I have mixed the dark and medium brown, excited to do a mix of copper and medium brown too! If you're tipping your toe into the water though, and have brown hair like me, and are nervous, go for medium brown or maybe light (cant speaj to it though) brown for a warmer feel.

It’s crap. It came extremely thick to the point the pump doesn’t work. Tried it twice and it didn’t do anything (and yes i read the directions). Really disappointed

I purchased this after having a conversation with my hair stylist about gray blending, which involves coloring your hair to deemphasize the contrast between your primary hair color and your gray hair---the process is intended to blend and not cover gray. She explained there are a couple of ways she could do hair blending, including applying a hair gloss . I loved the concept, but didn't love the idea of paying to have it professionally done every 8 weeks. Enter this hair gloss. I use it every weekend for between 10 and 20 minutes, as directed, and it livens up my natural brunette hair color and deposits a subtle color to my gray hairs. The change is subtle, but exactly what I was hoping for. For reference, I am using on virgin brunette hair. As the manufacturer notes on both the product page and the product bottle, this will not cover gray. If that's what you are looking for, opt for a hair dye that contains chemicals that will help the color penetrate your hair follicle. This is intended for subtle, temporary boosts of color. Note that yes, the brown color will dye your hands when you apply to your hair---it is intended to deposit color, after all. Just wash your hands and it comes off. If you wash your hands a reasonable number of times, the color will come off the same day you use it. Or, you can use disposable gloves to apply the product.

I’ve had a gloss done professionally and I loved how it made my hair soft and blended my grays. I wanted to have it done again, but I was curious to try it at home and see if it would work. I just did it today and am happy with the results! You can see the before and after photos. My hair feels soft and healthy and my grays are less noticeable! I’m 27 and having a baby soon (so I’m not ready to be gray!) and am so happy to have found an affordable way to hide my grays without permanently coloring my hair! I only used about 1/4 of the bottle and my hair is pretty thick. I didn’t add as much to my tips as I did to my roots since I was wanting the color more on my roots. I probably could have put more in my hair, but honestly, what I did is adequate for what I’m wanting! You may just need more if you’re trying to do a more drastic color change. I was trying to keep my hair looking as natural as possible and the medium brown definitely did the trick!

So this stuff is just ok. I just finished a bottle that lasted me a couple of years as I only used it every couple of months. No offending odor which I appreciate and color selection good. I used medium brown. However, as this barely (almost not at all) tints my grays, and when it does, only for like 2 shampoos, not worth the effort for me at all. Note I use extremely gentle shampoo. I’ve used other semi permanent formulas that last way longer and do tint my grays. Also, my curls despise dimethicone so after each use it took me over a week or more to get curls back to normal. It’s clearly working well for some, but just not worth the effort for me.

Makes hair soft and glossy for a few days but doesn’t haven’t any coverage at all for gray hair. Glossy look only lasts for 1-2 washes and doesn’t last long. I had higher hopes for this products with the reviews it has :/ $40 was steep for the value quite honestly. And as someone who has never died my hair I really thought it would help some with coverage but it doesn’t at all. It has two stars simply because it really does make your hair soft and shiny for a few days, and smells nice. But no coverage at all for gray/white hair.

Absolutely fantastic! I have dark hair with grey coming through and bleach on the end. My hair is transformed. I did leave this on for 2hrs wrapped up in a clear plastic bag and towel. ALL my greys are covered even the fly aways. It’s silky glossy just as it was when I was young. Easy to apply I’ve used another gloss and it was a nightmare dripping and staining. Easy to wash off. Didn’t make a mess of my shower and once blow dried I was absolutely in love with the silky gloss finish. Even colour even though I have bleach on the end. Gorgeous.

I know it is advertised not to cover greys, but this was the main purpose of buying it. I had low expectations, and was blown away! The bottle is smaller than expected, so I ended up using 2/3 of the bottle on my long thick hair. I made sure every stand was coated well. I focused application on my grey areas and applied there first so it would sit longer while I did the rest of my hair. I left it in for 20mins on clean damp hair (as instructed). I’m happy with the results. I don’t know how long this lasts yet, but happy with the initial look! I bought the medium brown, and it made my hair a darker shade than what I started with.

Bought to keep hair colour fresh between colouring. It’s very easy to use. Maintains my colour- I feel im getting at least another week to a fortnight from this. Recommend it for hair maintenance

Purchased this twice now and have used over the span of several months. Overall very happy with it, it says not for coverage of grey hair but it does a great job of blending everything so I can avoid box colour or pricey salon trips every month. Very natural look. Will continue buying and using this product.

I bought this because I have few grays and don’t want to dye my hair with traditional chemicals. It doesn’t cover them but sort of blends them and gives a nice shine. Very easy to apply as well. Still think it is a bit expensive for what it offers.
