The hand pump works surprisingly well — I thought it might be a hassle, but it only takes a minute or two to fully compress a bag. If you’re using it at home, it also works great with a vacuum cleaner. Once sealed, the bags stay airtight and don’t reinflate. These saved me so much space in my suitcase, and I love that I can use them for off-season clothes in my closet too. They’re durable, easy to use, and completely reusable. Highly recommend for travelers, apartment living, or just anyone needing to tame closet chaos!

One of the best storage bags! I was a little hesitant using them because I saw a couple different reviews but once you get the hand of it, they work amazing. The different sizes work perfectly and they aren’t too heavy when they are full!

I was pleased with the size of the bags - they were just right for what I needed. In particular, the extra-large (XL) size was perfect for fitting my queen-size comforter. The pump with the bags was easy to use and worked well, quickly suctioning all the air out of the bag and compressing my bedding to a fraction of its original size. However, after a few days, I noticed that the bag had become loose, with air seeping back in and the bedding expanding again. This wasn't very pleasant, as I hoped the bags would provide a long-term storage solution for my bedding. I plan to use a vacuum to suction the air out instead of the pump to address this issue. I hope this will create a more robust seal and prevent air from returning to the bag. Overall, while I'm disappointed that the bags didn't work as well as I had hoped, I'm still optimistic that I can find a solution that will work for me.

I just purchased a mattress topper that I will use occasionally when I have guests over. The topper itself is a great idea but storing it ,while not being used, was going to be a problem. Then I hit on the idea of getting a vacuum storage bag to make sure it took the least amount of space in my closet. These bags are super easy to use. All you have to do is put the item inside, make sure that the Ziploc is completely sealed and then attach the pump and start taking out the excess air. As you are pumping the air out, you can see how quickly the volume of the bag diminishes. Once you detach the vacuum, no air will get in there. There is a little cap that you screw on the pump vent to make it airtight. I appreciate the fact that bag material appears to be one that will allow it to be used over and over again. This particular collection comes with a variety of sizes. So I went a little vacuum bag crazy and started to use it on other things, such as a down comforter, towels, and bedsheet sets. All of those items now fit comfortably in just one shelf. Since these bags can also be used with a vacuum cleaner instead of the included pump, I gave half the bags to a good friend and gave her the pump. She was over the moon with these. Overall, I think you can order these with confidence. They do the work they were designed for. And for the number of bags you get for the price, it’s a win-win.

They are perfect, love that they come in multiple different sizes, hold for a long time and feel sturdy. They aren’t too heavy depending on what you put in them a they seem to hold their air!

Just make sure you examine the bags when they arrive. 4 of my big bags were missing the vacuum seal part. The ones that had the seal worked great tho.

When I heard about these, I thought it was a 50/50 chance, but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed using them. I had a three-week trip to Asia, and I didn't want to take a large suitcase, so I bought these with the primary intent of using them for my trip. The medium bags were perfect for a carry-on; yes, the pump takes up space, but any vacuum works. The bags could become too rigid and stiff, but after a couple of times, I figured out how to fold and push the bag simultaneously as I was pumping, and it worked perfectly. On my way back from my trip, I was also allowed to separate my dirty clothes. At home, I used the larger bags for comforters and blankets to reduce the bulk size. I have already bought another set for my parents. Thanks!

Comes in four different sizes which is real useful, love the fact that it's a manual compression so you don't have to worry about battery and outlets. It doesn't take long to vacuum seal it, just make sure you get as much air out before you close the bag up so the the prosses of vacuum sealing it with the pump is easier. The bag feels sturdy and strong.

Nach einigen Wochen Nutzung kann ich sagen: Für den Preis bekommt man hier wirklich ein durchdachtes und praktisches Set. Verarbeitung & erster Eindruck Die Beutel wirken stabiler, als ich es erwartet hatte. Das Material ist relativ dick und macht keinen „billigen Plastik“-Eindruck. Die Reißverschlüsse lassen sich sauber schließen, und es liegt sogar ein kleiner Clip bei, mit dem man den Verschluss ordentlich zusammendrücken kann. Das fand ich praktisch, weil man so sicherstellen kann, dass wirklich alles dicht ist. Die verschiedenen Größen sind sinnvoll gewählt. Die Jumbo-Beutel sind perfekt für dicke Winterdecken oder mehrere Jacken. Die mittleren und kleinen nutze ich für Pullover, T-Shirts oder Bettwäsche. Gerade die Mischung macht das Set so flexibel. Anwendung & Vakuumfunktion Die Handpumpe funktioniert überraschend gut. Klar, es ist etwas Arbeit, bis die Luft komplett draußen ist, aber es klappt zuverlässig. Ich hatte schon andere Modelle, bei denen nach ein paar Tagen wieder Luft drin war. Hier bleibt alles schön kompakt. Natürlich muss man beim Befüllen darauf achten, nicht zu überladen und den Verschluss wirklich sauber zu schließen. Transparenz & Übersicht Dass die Beutel durchsichtig sind, ist ein großer Vorteil. Man sieht sofort, was drin ist, ohne alles wieder öffnen zu müssen. Gerade bei mehreren Beuteln im Keller oder unter dem Bett spart das Zeit und Nerven. Geruch & Schutz Die Kleidung bleibt trocken und staubgeschützt. Auch gegen Gerüche im Keller helfen die Beutel gut. Meine Winterjacken kamen nach mehreren Wochen wieder frisch aus dem Beutel – kein muffiger Geruch. Kleine Kritikpunkte Man muss beim Verschließen wirklich sorgfältig arbeiten. Wenn der Zip-Verschluss nicht komplett dicht ist, zieht der Beutel langsam wieder Luft. Außerdem sollte man darauf achten, keine spitzen Gegenstände oder Reißverschlüsse ungünstig zu platzieren, damit nichts beschädigt wird. Die Handpumpe ist praktisch für unterwegs oder wenn kein Staubsauger zur Hand ist, aber auf Dauer ist der Staubsauger deutlich bequemer. Fazit Für mich sind die Amazon Basics Vakuumbeutel eine klare Empfehlung, wenn man Platz sparen und Kleidung ordentlich verstauen möchte. Die unterschiedlichen Größen sind durchdacht, das Material wirkt stabil und das Vakuum hält zuverlässig. Für saisonale Kleidung, Bettwäsche oder Reisen absolut sinnvoll. Ich würde sie definitiv wieder kaufen. Preis-Leistung stimmt hier einfach.
