Honey_Can_Do Door Hanging Ironing Board

Okay---if this is going to be the ONLY ironing board you have, you can make it great. It doesn't arrive great, but its bones are a good starting point. I wanted this to be on the narrow closet door (or, one side of a double anyway). The width is perfect but it didn't feel steady enough to even use. I would sell this in a kit including a good door stop, flat bungee cords, a good pad and cover and some of those clip-ons like for holding sheets on a bed. The cover and pad on my ancient ironing board are in good condition--obviously well-used but very heavy. Try not to look at how dirty it looks--but the one that comes on the Honey-Can-Do is very thin and very cheap. I had to cut the pointy end off--and it took some major clipping to get it on the board itself. Unless you strap this thing to the door, your iron is going to be falling off and burning the floor or you---two heavy duty bungees (flat works best) will have this thing like it's screwed to the door. The braces/hangers are made for a thicker door than this one is--looks like it would be on a door leading to outside. I took the door knob hook off my door to make it lie flat... Let's see...what else do you have to do to make it great...? Well---for this cheap a price point, you get what you pay for--but with a few cheap add-ons and a little effort on your part, you'll get what you thought you wanted in the first place. I am just delighted not to have a full-sized ironing board set up in my office bedroom all the time and being tempted to pile crap on it. It just arrived at 2:00 this afternoon and I knocked it into shape--I think I'm going to love it!

I have modified the hooks so it is screwed into the wall permanently. the board is study and the surface is wide and I have quite enjoyed using it.
