Best nail clipper I’ve owned
This is the best clipper and the price is good for what you get. It’s definitely not your average drug store clipper. It’s exact, sharp and easy to useUpdate: This broke in less than a year with minimal use - definitely not the best I’ve had!

Comparison Mehaz to Another Top rated Toenail Clipper (Seki Edge)
I purchased the Mehaz 668 Toenail clipper because I wasn't totally satisfied with one of the perennial top rated toenail clipper (Seki Edge). Here is my comparison findings:1) Sharpness- both clippers are made in Japan, a country well renowned for producing sharp, high quality blades. Both brands are equally, exquisitely sharp. Both cut without shredding or needing to file your nails.2) Ease of Use / Preciseness of Cuts- Seki is uses a plastic lever which tends to be slippery while Mehaz's lever is silicon coated which result in very little slippage. No slippage means no re-positioning of the blade and cuts tend to be more precise.3) Jaw Opening- see comparison picture. It's hard to appreciate the difference in the picture but Mehaz has 1-2 mm larger jaw opening. This doesn't sound like much but this probably represents a 30% wider mouth which translates to a huge difference for thick nails or even normal thick nails in terms of ease in positioning the clipper underneath the nail bed. I definitely noticed the difference.4) Ingrown Toenails- Mehaz's straight slanted blade is better for precise, up close cuts that prevent nails on the edge to grow in a curved fashion ( that cuts into the toe flesh when walking-- ouch).5) Nail Catcher- this is the one category that Seki Edge "has the edge". Sadly Mehaz skimmed on the design. With Mehaz, on the left side of the clipper the nail guard (catcher) extends to the tip of the blade but on the right side because the guard does not extend to tip of the blade there is a large opening that ejected nail clippings will fly through (see pictures comparing the left vs right side of the clipper). On the other hand, Seki's nail guard goes all the way to the top on both sides. As a result, Seki catches ~ 80-90% of the nails while Mehaz catches only ~ 60-70%.SUMMARY: With the exception of the issue of the nail catcher, I found the Mehaz to be a superior product with respect to sharpness, preciseness of cuts, ease of use and a surprisingly better cutting experience due to a larger jaw opening. Sadly I subtracted one star due to a "less than stellar" nail catcher but if this is not a priority for you then this will still be a 5 star product for you.

Excellent toe nail clippers
These are by far the best toenail clippers I’ve used. I highly recommend them - particularly for nails that are thick.

Every Home Should Have One!
Years ago, I suffered with ingrown toenails. After trying all I could to relieve the pain, I had both big toes operated on to get rid of the problem. The left big toe did fine, the old toenail fell off and healed and I have had no more issues with it. But the right toe did not do as it was supposed to and the old toenail fused with the new instead of falling off. I have dealt with the embarrassment of a thick, twisted toenail for years. Even the podiatrist just clipped it and that was that. I knew there had to be a way to get my toenail back to normal. I love to wear sandals, but with my toe looking the way it did, I refused to do so. Even nail polish didn't help. I tried to clip it with the regular clippers, but they were too close and wouldn't fit. I finally looked up a toenail clipper that might have a wide jaw and found the MEHAZ 668 Pofessional Wide Jaw Toenail Clipper. What a Godsend! I hurried and ordered it and to my surprise it came right away. I was not only able to clip that ugly, thick toenail, but with the wide jaw I was able to use it like a trimmer to trim away the ugly top layer. Now my toenail is growing back the way it should and my friends have noticed that I'm back to wearing my peep-toe shoes again. I would suggest that every home should have one because you never know when there may be need for it. I hope no one has to go through what I did, but if you find you have a toenail situation like I did, The MEHAZ 668 is your answer. It didn't hurt that it comes with an easy grip and a file to help smooth the rough edges. I am so glad I found it and my feet never looked better.

Excellent product!
First, I want to point out, as other reviewers have, that the item is packaged in a clear plastic bubble which makes it very difficult to remove the nail clippers. Perhaps rough handling by some users caused the clippers to fall apart while the person tried to remove them from their plastic bubble. Having been forewarned by some reviewers, I cut into the package carefully with my huge kitchen shears, and was able to remove the clippers without damaging them. They are great clippers and cut toenails easily. I have never had a fungus infection, but I stub my toes a lot since I walk around the house in my stocking feet and without shoes. Stubbed toenails hurt if they are not clipped with sharp clippers, so these work just fine for me.Some reviewers have mentioned the difficulty of dealing with ingrown toenails, and I received excellent advice many years ago for treating such a problem: Let the nail grow out to about 1/8 of an inch, and with these sharp clippers, or similar ones, carefully nick that end at the MID POINT of the nail into a small "V" shape. As the nail grows with the V shape, it will gradually draw away from the side that had the ingrown nail and get your toenail back to normal.A friend of mine who recently went to her doctor to get help with her first-ever! ingrown toenail, told me that the doctor cut a small V shape in the nail -- see above paragraph -- and also placed a tiny, soft, cotton ball-shape under the nail, close to where the toenail had ingrown, to gradually lift that part of the nail out from the skin. I hope this advice helps anyone who has such problems.
