UPDATE Works great after 2 years in extreme weather
This is a follow up review after using 8 of the solar powered sensors for almost 2 years now, and I am STILL HIGHLY RECOMMENDING THESE. Iโm very pleased with their performance, simplicity and bang for the buck. My goal was something simple that would monitor the complete perimeter of my house without depending on the grid, cell service, or electricity and these met that goal 100%. THIS IS WHEN YOU NEED A WORKING MONITOR MOST. Hereโs the main proโs and conโs of my experience over a 2 year period that might help in your decision of whether these are right for you. I live Dallas so the temps here vary from 10 to 110 degrees. I did have one problem with a monitoring station which Wuloo responded to immediately and sent a replacement. A very good company to do business with. Helpful hintsโฆ - When installing the detectors I found it very helpful to put batteries in the monitoring station and take it with you while installing the detectors. That way you can instantly test the range, angle, etc by listening to the monitor. The monitoring station will store your setting even when the batteries are removed. - When planning where to mount the detectors keep in mind that the actual detector lens can NOT be exposed to direct sunlight (FACING EAST OR WEST). Also if it is pointing towards an object within 6 ft that can heat up in sun light it can cause false alarms as the detector senses a change in the objectโs temperature. (metal, brick, etc) See video - If you are going to purchase more than 2 detectors I would suggest looking at purchasing 2 or more kits with 2 detectors each plus a monitoring station versus 1 monitoring station with 3 or more detectors. Depending on sale prices it might only costs a few bucks more and you may be surprised how handy having an extra monitoring station or two is. PROโs 1- Extremely easy to set up 2- Several of my monitors are in the direct Texas sun for most of the day and have held up well (rain too) see photo 3- The solar batteries have stayed charged for 2 years in some of my locations that never receive any direct sunlight (photo) 4- Can use multiple monitoring stations to provide alerts in multiple locations, ie 1st & 2nd floor, garage, back patio, etc (Iโm using 3) 5- Monitoring stations can run for about 1 ยฝ weeks on 3 AA batteries if the power is out. It will NOT charge the AA batteries when plugged in. 6- Volume can be turned up to hear in multiple rooms if desired 7- Station monitor has 36 different tunes that can be assigned to the individual detectors & visually shows alerts 1-8 as well (see conโs) 8- The sensitivity on the detectors has 3 different setting, most of mine are on the lowest setting to cut down on โfalseโ alarms CONโs 1- The swivel mount only allow for about a 30 degree angle of tilt (up,down, left, right) which works ok for most mounting positions. But when mounting up higher like on my second story Iโve purchased some fairly cheap swivel camera mounts which then give me a 180 degrees of swivel so I could point them almost straight down. It may require drilling 2 small holes in the detectors plastic mounting plate (see photo) 2- The solar panel on the detectors that are always in the FULL sun do show a bit of โwearโ on the edges but I donโt think it degrades the performance and keep in mind weโre talking about months of 100+ degrees. (see photo) 3- You can set each detector to play itโs own tune but if you have more than 3 detection zones it can take a while for you to instantly associate a tune with a station. I have suggested that they add an option to be able to record your own message (front door, driveway, etc) or at least add voice messages like detector 1,2,3 etc to their memory. THIS HAS BEEN CORRECTED IN THEIR NEW UPGRADED VERSION MTY0102. 4- When the detector is activated by motion the lens lights up. This can be seen as a deterrent, but in my case I would rather the detector not be seen at night, especially if mounted within reach of someone. Minor point for most users. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN FIXED IN THE UPGRADED VERSION MTY0102. For the price and simplicity these are 5 star products. Ron

Great product with great customer service
I purposely bought this product because I needed something that could be placed outdoors to handle the elements in Colorado. The listing also said it had a great range and worked through walls and other obstructions, and you can use multiple sensors with it. When I received the unit, I found that one sensor had been programmed to work with the receiver. The second unit would turn on but wouldn't link to or activate the receiver. I got the one sensor set up and working and it works great. We live in a two story home and the sensor sets off the receiver from the deck which is on the ground level to the receiver on the second story on an opposite corner of the house. It's likely about 600 linear feet, but through numerous walls and it works great. Once I found that the second sensor wasn't working, I contacted Wuloo customer service by email and received an answer the same day. They had me check some things on the sensor and send them a video to show what the sensor was doing. They determined something must be wrong with the unit and sent me a replacement unit. They kept in contact with me throughout this time. They even followed up with me to make sure I received the new sensor and that I was able to get it set up and working. I have been impressed with their customer service throughout the process and I do like their product for all of the reasons that I needed to buy it. In addition, the receiver can run off of a plug or batteries, which is great so you can move it around with you if needed. The unit is expandable to up to 8 sensors which play different chimes and show different indicators so you know which one was set off. This unit is worth the money if you are looking for a durable and user friendly sensor/receiver set up, and for great customer service if needed. I would buy other products from Wuloo just based on this experience.

Wow -- These work great!
Like others, I ordered this item to give alerts for those coming into my driveway. This system does the job quite well, right out of the box! It is so easy to setup I defy anyone that can't make it work right out of the box. Seriously, take everything out of the boxes (all items had their own), charge the transmitters until the led goes GREEN, mount the transmitter(s) where you want them... test... Really -- other than needing a charge, they came ready to go. Now -- a downside here is that the transmitters batteries are actually connected already and I found them transmitting from within the box before I put them into service. The issue here is that you could end up with a dead and over discharged battery when you receive your transmitter. (Unless there's a safety cutoff built in) The kit came with everything you need -- including a screwdriver. The transmitters are VERY sensitive out of the box. Easily picks up over 50ft away. Your range may be similar and if that's too far a reach, you can open the transmitter and adjust the sensitivity as needed. If it's too sensitive you will potentially get false positives and that will definitely make you unhappy at 3am! As to the receiver -- well, not much to report for it. Takes 4 AA batteries or you can plug it in. It's unclear if plugged in and with batteries if the batteries will still be used. I think, really, my only complaint for this setup is that the power uses a barrel connection instead of a USB on the end that connects to the base receiver as well as the transmitters. I think if a standard USB connector was used it would make things a lot more universal when it comes to powering things. In the case of the transmitters you only need the power connection to do an initial battery charge. The base ALWAYS needs power either by battery or adapter. Unlike some other driveway alerts, this setup is limited to 8. It does not appear that you can create an 8 zone setup with multiple transmitters per zone -- 8 zones = 8 sensors -- that's it. If you think you will need more than 8 sensors, this is NOT the setup you want. One last nice feature on this setup is that EACH sensor has the options for 32 different alerts. You can have them all different, or even all the same if you wanted. Certainly it would defeat the purpose if they all sounded with the same alert, but there may be a reason you want this. From other designs I have reviewed, that alert is for whatever number of sensors that are in that single zone. All-in-all.... I think this is a good option to select. Low cost, simple to setup, simple to install, and the range is fantastic -- easily reaching all the locations I chose with no issues. These are NOT wifi, and I can say the range on these is MUCH further than what a wifi would offer. I could not find out what freq they use anywhere in the documents that came with it, or online. (update 2 - 2020-09-24) In a previous update I expressed concern that this device showed no FCC certificate and questions to the company were replied they were unable to share details because of "business privacy". I shared a concern that a direct e-mail to them got a denial of the request. The denial didn't make sense given that it's public information in this country. I have since found the device does indeed hold FCC certification. Additionally, this device uses 433mhz. This is a part 15 device in use. I continue to give positive score for this device -- it works very well and performs as intended. I would recommend the alert device without question.

Motion Sensor
Works good. Easy to pair with base station and change ring tones. Couple of negatives I found are the power on/off button for the sensor as well as the range / sensitivity switches. The power button is very small and has a tendency to get stuck under the housing. You have to position the sensor so you can see the infrared sensor to know when it is turned off or on. The range and sensitivity switches are inside the sensor housing. You have to remove the back cover to access these. Other motion sensors I have use a slide switch for power and a separate slide switch for the range and sensitivity. Both of these are external and they are covered by a silicone flap on the bottom to protect from moisture and dust. It's not the end of the world by having them mounted inside the housing, just be mindful of that if you want to change settings after you have it mounted. Mine also emit a red flash on the sensor indicating when it has been tripped. If you are hoping for these to remain invisible at night, these won't live up to that expectation. Overall I am satisfied with the product and its performance.

Expandable and Reliable
I recently purchased this driveway alarm system after searching for a solution to expand my existing setup and overall Iโm very impressed. I own two different brands of driveway alarms, but both suffer from inadequate sensor battery life and the overall range is inconsistent. My use case us two fold: 1. I needed real-world range of 1000โ (305 m) to get consistent alerts from the end of my driveway. My house also has a metal roof which impedes radio signal. 2. I needed 6 total sensors โ Itโs being used not just for the driveway but also to ensure my dogs donโt run off. With this system, I can finally expand my system to accommodate 6-8 sensors, and it is delivering consistent alerts even with the metal roof and one sensor being 1000โ (305 m) away. Another standout feature of this system is its ease of setup. The receiver has numbers 1-8 around the perimeter of the case which light up when there is an alert event. I use this feature as a 360 degree view of my property and created a map that corresponds to the numbers. When one of my dogs triggers an event, my kids can reference the map to know exactly where the dog is. The 36 customizable tones, allowed us to have fun choosing a memorable tone for each zone. The battery life of the system is also impressive, with the solar version lasting up to 2 years on a single charge. With the other two systems I have, itโs a pain to replace batteries. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, reliability, and convenience โ It definitely comes out on top when compared to the other units I have. The only room for improvement I see is that the blue LED on the receiver is a bit too bright and comes across as a little fuzzy at night. Itโs not a big deal though. If you're in the market for a reliable and customizable driveway alarm system, I highly recommend this system. ***Nerd Stuff*** On the technical side of things, I used the rf spectrum scope on my Icom 705 radio and see these Wuloo transmitters operating around 430 mhz. This is a good band (UHF) for propagation through buildings. I think this is part of the reason the range is a bit more consistent. I also opened up the case of the receiver to check out the antenna. Itโs about as good of a design as you can fit in such a nice compact setup.

Solar Driveway Alarms
Purchased to use in the countryside on a very long lane. The cameras were probably 200 yards from the alarm which was inside my home which had a metal roof. They functioned very well so long as they are placed in an area that was free from limbs and twigs or you kept spiders from taking up residence under the little hoods over the camera lens. Alarms were easy to set up,

Works well with some caveats
This is a well made item, but has a few flaws. The biggest problem with it is that the sensor angle is just far TOO WIDE. If it is at the end of your driveway, it picks up people on the sidewalk or sometimes even in the street and gives a false alarm. I glued a cardboard tube about 3" long over the sensor and it works much better now. I also found that the alarm tones were VERY ANNOYING! Either like a doorbell (confusing) or like entering a small shop, or some unpleasant melody. Should be a simple "Ding" - One ding, repeated once, for each of the 8 zones it can monitor. (one ding, 2 dings, etc). A mounting problem is that the unit attaches to its base with a screw that is covered when it is mounted. If you are adjusting the position and it comes loose, you must take the whole thing down to re-tighten the screw. I put a lock washer in there to help, but it can still come loose. ALSO - the Solar cell is not powerful enough to keep it charged continuously! You have to recharge it after a few weeks or months, depending on the sunshine it gets. and it seems there is no notification the battery is flat. So - you get it perfectly mounted and aimed, and then have to take it down, charge it for a day and put it back and go through mounting again. Really annoying. Of course you could always run a super long extension cord out to the end of your driveway. That's convenient.

Had an original "Drive way detector system. House upgrades saw the system disconnected.
Purchased the "Wuloo" Solar Wireless Drive way Alarm, on-line. OK, so now when someone approaches my house down my Drive way, they are detected 20 + metres from my front door. ( To be fore warned is to be fore armed?) The unit arrived with the Main "Control" unit and 2 x Detector Units. (The system can have up to 8 Detector units) Charged the 2 x Detector units as per instruction before installing them, a suitable location for the Detectors must enable each to be in the sunlight for some period. Units were pre paired with the controller, each unit can be adjusted for range and sensitivity during setup. Initially set the first detector on "Hi" , this caused the detector to trigger with vehicles 30+ Metres away, adjustment back to Mid 1, was more useful. Various options for extra detectors, including different melodies for each detector. Booklet supplied is a good reference for setting up with lots of options. Good range for Detectors back to Main unit!! Time will determine the effectiveness of the solar charging, so far an excellent purchase for my security. Easy setup, not cheap but works well, good understandable instruction booklet, easy (for me ) to mount + setup parameters. For me a very good purchase!

Work great
pretty simple set up. we have a very long windy treed driveway. put one sensor near the road (easily 1500 feet away) and the other a little more than half way to the house and that gives us plenty of warning that some one is coming . my only complaint is the sensitivity setting. why is it inside the unit? could have easily been put on the outside somewhere. other than that this is a welcome addition to our hide away in the woods.

70m+ range no problem
Doesnt need wifi. Uses old school (reliable) radio signals which can work during power blackout too. I live on acreage and this alerts us to a car or person entering the property with a chime. Lots of chime options and 8 volume levels. Good sound quality chime. Not annoying. Also has flashing light on receiver panel to show which device was just triggered. There has been several break ins in our area recently which prompted this purchase. The receiver wakes me up during the night if we get someone entering the property. Does show soft red light on sensor unit when triggered with no option to turn off, but Ive looked inside the unit and this LED could easily be covered over if desired. Receiver unit functions as a clock with wakeup alarm too. Receiver can be run on AA batteries or power. So you could take it with you into the garden when you are out the back etc. It does have a mute button if you wanted to silence the chime whilst sleeping or when guests are over. It doesnt have a timer function but Ive read you can use a timer power point and it will work that way. A well designed product that looks good too. Sensor units blend into garden easily. Add multiple sensor units (up to 8) so that all access points to property can be monitored.
