I wanted to wait until I used it a few times before posting a review. This is hands down (no pun intended) the best set of toenail scissors I've ever used. I have thick nails and after a brief soak to soften them up, these scissors have no problem with trimming them. The angle is perfect for getting at those hard to reach places. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good set of toenail scissors.

after purchasing product noticed that it is of poor quality and does not have the serrated area as it says to cut tough nails. I have not used it yet since I am travelling back to Santo Domingo. Will have to soak my toenails in warm water with epson salts and see if they work. After that I will give you a second opinion on toenail scissors.

These are advertised as heavy duty, for tough nails. They are not. They are rather flimsy, and are not capable of dealing with tough or thick nails. Which is why I bought them in the first place. Okay for normal nails.

These nail cutting scissors are a great thing for a guy like me that hates traditional nail clippers.My nail clipper phobia stems back to my childhood. I don’t remember much of my early years but I do remember my mother clipping my toenails. She would always clip too far down and nick the skin underneath the nail. You would think that after the first cut she would be a little more careful or maybe take a break until I stopped screaming and finished crying. Nope. She wouldn’t stop the grooming until every toe was worked over and bleeding.Flash Forward…When I turned 18 and was a legal adult able to make my own personal grooming choices, I understandably chose to stop grooming my toenails altogether. In time they grew to resemble corn chips. They were quite impressive. I couldn’t wear sneakers but boy did I rock a pair a sandals. Now you would think a guy with corn chip toenails would be repulsive to women but this was not the case at all. Women would be flock to me because they believed that I was a wealthy heir of Howard Hughes. I’m a nice guy and hate to correct people so I would let them run with that assumption. I was humiliated and I vowed that night I would somehow cut my own toenails.Enter The Long Handled Toenail Scissors aka… If You Don’t Like Stories, Start Reading Here…Seriously, I do hate nail clippers and these toenail scissors are a nifty alternative.Pros:01 The stainless steel scissors are well made and seem durable.02 The blade is straight and sharp enough to cut through thick nails.03 I really like the longer reach making it easier to reach my toes.Cons:01 The only thing that needs improvement are the handles. The openings need to be enlarged for those with larger hands. I’m 6’4” and have proportionally-sized hands. My thumb just fits in the opening of the handle. If you have very large hands and/or very thick fingers, the handle openings are probably going to be too small for you.
