This is the gun I would buy the first time if starting my practice over again! Superior quality tool and protective shipping!
I am a first time user for this type of tattoo gun, I was pleasantly surprised and I like the use of it much better than coil. It come beautifully packaged, like opening a gift to myself with all the velvet lining! It shipped timely and arrived in careful protected order as to not damage the tool! It is perfect for my home practice and I will update my review with the work I am able to get done soon! I have ordered many machines before, but this one is superior to the others and I recommend this to all, beginners to experienced will be satisfied with this gun! Dont be hesitant with it being just the gun, those kits that sell all parts together do not come with quality inks anyways and so buying the needles and inks separately is for sure the ways to go to grow your tattoo kit! I recommend using mom's tattoo ink with this machine, such great results come from this combination of products! I hope this review gives insight to any beginners looking to start! No regrets at all on this purchase! Quality well passes the cost! Wont disappoint!

Buy it. Good little machine. Does not over heat with continuous power.
I am just starting out so bear that in mind for this review.I picked up a Dragonhawk coil starter set and used that for my first few practice skins. The coils are (obviously) very loud in comparison to the Cheyenne Hawk my artist (and future mentor) uses. Branching out into rotary machines, this was the second little cheapo that I purchased. It quickly became my favorite.Yes, you still need to stabilize the needle with a rubber band. Once you do that, this machine is quiet. Quieter than the Solong Cheyenne Hawk clone, even.As a beginner experiment, I picked up a cartridge grip and a selection of knock-off cartridges. (Still just practicing on nothing human...) This set up is now my go over everything else.Even when I move onto being a full apprentice, I will more than likely use this machine with real Cheyenne or Hextat cartridges.

Great machine
This is a great powerful little machine it runs pretty smooth just make sure to oil it up before you use it, if your having problems putting the tubes in just take the vice off put the tube and put the vice on until it gets used to that thickness, I’m currently running this for cartridge but I would not trust this machine on a tattoo longer than 2 hours in case it does I’ll most likely be using it to color or shade less than palm size areas. This is great for practicing but in no means it is meant for professional use

I'm disappointed because this seems like a sturdy machine
none of my standard sized tubes fit because the hole is too small. I'm disappointed because this seems like a sturdy machine... that I can't use.

A literal diamond in the rough.
If you don't mind buffing out the rough machining, afterwards you will be rewarded with a very nice tattooing machine. Very low vibration and what seems so far to be a very sturdy motor. At first my thoughts were not pleasant but hey this is a cheap machine so put some finishing touches on it and see what I get. Would I buy it again, yes. Just give it some extra tlc and you'll be well rewarded.

So far, so good.
So... the one I got isn't the one picture, I actually like the one that I received better... it's a Cobalt blue, slightly sparkly and kinda spiffy looking. With that asside, I've only had enough time to connect it to my power supply and test it. I like that it's quiet and light weight thus far... testing it tonight, I will update after...**Updated!!!** Very conisistant, so far it's had about 6 hours of running time. Smooth, Light weight, I'm purchasing at least 2 more of these.

dont waste your time
i ordered two of these machines, one of them ran great fresh iut of the package but began having an inconsistant power flow after about 6hrs of use. the second machine ran rough right out of the box. *anything other than smooth running should not be used on a client* you dont want to be chewing up their skin!these are fine if you want a rotary to take apart to learn whats inside, but i wouldnt recommend them for anything else. with these being so cheap, you literally only get your moneys worth. save up for something pro-quality instead
