Peugeot BALI FONTE Cast Iron Pepper Mill, 8cm/3 In Orange

Being cast iron it has a sort of gratifying weight. Being burnt orange it is very cool. It is also a great pepper mill for any pepper you can name.

As with all Peugeot pepper mills, this one grinds easily both coarse and fine. This iron pepper mill is a great color & a heavy weight. It makes a beautiful presentation on your table.

Seems really good but it's hard to adjust the size of the grind.

The grinder is fine but I’m sick of company’s ripping off consumers. The listing states it’s prefilled. It’s not. Mine had 4 peppercorns in there. 4 individual peppercorns.

Very pretty. Very heavy. Easy to fill. Works well with the provided peppercorn variety but jams up and doesn't work well with standard grocery store variety black peppercorns - I guess they're too hard or too large for this device? Can't get coarse ground pepper regardless of how much you adjust the top cap - just a consistent fine grind. I thought the unit was defective because Peugeot makes great quality product, but the replacement had the same problems. I returned it.

It works, barely, but it doesn't store much pepper, jams a lot, and constantly adding more pepper is kind of a pain. Also, its not see through so you can't tell how much pepper is in there. I always have to fiddle with the grind coarseness setting for it to spit out some pepper. It looks cool so if you just want to have it on a table and get a small amount of pepper from it, it would work but I was expecting more for the money. Whenever I need a larger amount ground for a recipe I am fiddling with this dumb thing for way too long.Also the packaging it came with was sketchy. It wasn't in a box or anything, just came with a Peugeot tag with a rubber band. I wouldn't buy this again

I really wanted this to work. I ordered the orange and the first one came in a box with the pepper mill just placed in it with a wrapping air pillow on top so the pepper mill was rolling around in the oversized box, which had a unsealed hole between the box flaps. Not surprisingly the paint was chipped in several places. I understand that this is supposed to have a distressed look to it but those were really chips on the paint. They also don't show in the pictures that it's much more black than orange where the seams are. This one also had no tag nor product info attached.I returned that one and ordered a second, hoping that it would be better. It was slightly better. It came inside a plastic bag and had a tag plus some mini brochure. This one also had a chip on the top and a sharp bur near the base so I ended up returning it too. Not worth it. I'm pretty disappointed since I have several baking pans and a large ceramic cocotte from Peugeot and love them.

Mit der kleinen Pfeffermühle in schönem, etwas asiatisch anmutenden Design, bin ich sehr zufrieden. Das Peugeot Mahlwerk, welches bekanntlich und zurecht als Mercedes (Wortwitz ;-) unter den Mahlwerken gilt, funktioniert, wie zu erwarten, sehr gut. Design und Mahlwerk waren der ausschlaggebende Grund für den Kauf und rechtfertigen gerade noch so den doch hohen Preis. Ich habe die Mühle mit Szechuanpfeffer befüllt, welcher sich aufgrund seines zitronigen Geschmacks z.B. zum Beizen von Lachs sehr gut eignet. Vielleicht gönne ich mir demnächst noch eine Mühle in einer anderen Farbe dazu. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Sexy on the eyes, and sexy in the hand to use. I'm very happy with this pepper mill. I wish they make this cast iron version for a salt grinder as well.

Easy to use. Great quality. Fast delivery. It was lovely to find that the manufacturer included some Sichuan peppercorns with it.
