Both of my children wore these during a camping trip in dutchess county. Not only did we come home without a tick, we were also protected from the mosquitos which were all over from the damp weather. We received MANY compliments because it was light weight and also provided protection (it was 90 degrees and the kids didn't complain). I'm about 5 feet tall and picked up a set for me too. I wore the pants under my shorts, as did my kids. It was perfect.
