Very nice, but not consistent quality
I love these buntings. I purchased them elsewhere several years ago and have enjoyed hanging them below all our front windows. We live in a Colonial style house in New England, so they are perfect to add some patriotic decor without being tacky. I love the tea stain, but it does wear off over time. Each year I would re-stain them myself, to extend their life, because the overall quality is very nice - a thick sturdy cotton. Unfortunately the wind has whipped them enough that many of the grommets are falling out of the buntings, so it's time for new ones. I ordered 9 (thrilled with the price of twenty-four dollars each, because years ago I paid forty-two dollars each!), received them quickly, opened them and was disappointed to find that 2 of the 9 were obviously made by a different manufacturer, because they are lighter in color and not reversible like the other 7 are (as well as my original 9 were). You can see the fronts and backs in the photos I've attached. Amazon is sending me 2 replacements, but I am a little afraid that the replacements will have the same problem. If they were all consistent in quality, I would give them over 5 stars, but I have to remove a star for the poor quality.UPDATE: If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. I received the 2 replacement buntings and unfortunately, I received 1 "good" one (thicker, double-sided, even staining), and 1 "bad" one (thinner, single-sided, lighter staining). Unfortunately though, the "good" one has more of an olive green tea stain color, which does not at all match the other 7 from my first order - they are what they should be, which is a nice brown tea stain color. I still love the look, so I'm going to order several more, hoping that at least 2 will be "good," and I'll return the "bad" ones. Just beware that if you order several, chances are, they will not all match in quality.UPDATE 2: I ordered 5 more, hoping to receive just 2 more "good" ones in that group, and was surprised to receive 4 "good" ones and only 1 "bad" one. I am definitely disappointed that it took ordering/receiving a total of 16 to ensure I would have 9 matching buntings. I still stick to my 3.5 star rating due to quality inconsistencies.

Not a high end look
I searched for a high quality flag made in the US and thought this one would meet expectations since listed as 100% cotton, sewn stripes and embroidered stars. Sadly the material is so thin and stiff that it looks cheaper than most nylon flags. The weave is almost mesh like and not completely opaque and the stars are matte white with no sheen or luster to the thread. Not quite what I had in mind :(

Nice Concept but I’ll Stick to the Regular Style in the Future
UPDATE: washing it did lighten the tea staining a bit for me and I like it a lot more now. It’s still not for everyone or any style. I think I’d still prefer the traditional white style in the future, but my husband likes this style better.ORIGINAL: I love the concept, but I’m not crazy about the product. It’s hard to say if the shade is how they anticipated because I bought this Used-Very Good with a detail of imperfections at the top, which I think is a light stain of something gray (that you can hardly see because of the shade of the antiquing). With that said, I think the antique shade of what would be white is accurate because it wasn’t specified in the “used description.” I think I’d much rather just buy the regular (not Heritage edition) product and let it wear itself. BUT because I only paid $10 for it (compared to over $30 for the new product) I give it 4 stars and do plan to use it, indoors. I’ll probably purchase the other style to hang outside on my porch, though, and let nature antique it. You know, synthetic antiquing never really turns out like authentic wear and tear!

Noticeable difference
Decent quality for the price and Made in the USA! I ordered 4 and they shipped as two different shipments (one had 3 in it, the other 1) and arrived together.I love the vintage look and did run them through the washing machine and air dry to remove some wrinkles, though I noticed that the ones red and blue were considerably brighter than the other 3 (pictured). It was like this before washing as well. It is a very noticeable vibrancy difference.Other than that, if you're looking for USA made bunting, try here.

After three years, I'm no longer a customer...
In an effort to buy American, I've been a loyal Valley Forge customer for years. However, the quality of these flags is just too poor to continue to buy these flags anymore. My flag flies year round, and I've actually had to buy two of these in the last year (and, as you'll read below, a third today) just to keep the flag flying. They are beautiful for the first few months, but then lose their color fairly rapidly and begin to fray as well. In no time, you will need another (even in sunny, mild, windless, rainless Southern California weather).I am actually editing this original review to reflect my experience since June 2014, as I need to buy a new flag due to my last VF flag becoming badly faded and frayed, yet again.I will look for a new U.S.-based company, with good reviews, from which I'll be purchasing a new flag today.

Disappointed in Overall Quality and Feel
I recommend not buying this flag. I bought several to give as gifts to friends as we depart Afghanistan and I will tell you that I am disappointed in the overall quality and feel of this flag. As the earlier review stated, this flag is stiff and thus difficult to fold initially. What the earlier review didn't state is that this flag's material is so thin it borders on translucent; nor does it state anywhere in the description that this flag is "Commercial Grade" although this is plainly printed in the upper left hand corner of the boxes I received. If this is "Made in America" quality, then as a nation we are in big trouble. My recommendation is to spend a little more money and get the ones sold by Seven Brothers. I have purchased from Amazon (and its merchants) for many years and this is the first time I have purchased an item I would consider to be of poor quality.
