Excellent video card replacement for older PCs
Excellent video card replacement for older PCs, particularly media-oriented machines whose video card is too long in the tooth for current Internet media like YouTube and file downloads. Thanks to Nvidia's excellent on-board video decoder, the card handled every video file I could throw at it, including high-bitrate HD video downloads from iTunes, Amazon Prime, and HD video from my phone, as well as HD streaming from Netflix and other video streaming services. However, it is not compatible with the bleeding edge video formats that are coming out in 2015 and 2016, so do not buy this with the expectation that it will work with anything beyond the current level of what is considered the standard for video playback. The best thing about this card is that you won't likely need a power supply upgrade unless your machine is very very low-end to begin with and those machines are too old and under-powered to benefit from a video card upgrade anyway. The only bad thing about it is the mini-HDMI port, which requires an uncommon HDMI cable that most places do not carry or an adapter to connect the smaller HDMI port to a regular HDMI cable. Anyone looking at this card for gaming should not consider it at all, as it's not intended for gaming above low-end/older titles that require basic 3D acceleration. The next-gen of Nvidia cards coming in a few months will have stacked memory and lower power consumption along with HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.3, so wait for those if you are really concerned about buying something that will carry you for a few years.

Night and Day difference over Integrated Graphics
I bought this card to increase my FPS for gaming in general, specifically ETS2. Before this card I had to choose between reflections or visible lighting besides the headlights. Now I have both with the mirror quality on high and resolution on Medium. High was virtually no difference but tanked the framerate. I am also running 1600 x 900 resoultion at 40 FPS at night on the highway. Slightly lower (25-30FPS) under lights and heavy traffic at night. Daytime runs the same with occasional drops due to autosave or scenery caching without light FPS drops especially in the cities. Peaks up to 50 aren't uncommon. FPS drops slightly with American truck mods but not much. Typically 5 FPS. This card doesn't like the Optimus Prime mod. I think that it's a mod issue thst is not important to the review. Overall, it's worth the money. NVIDIA did good with this one. Real good.

powerful punch in a small package.
I bought this GPU due to its good RAM and small profile. I tested this in 3 machines so far with varying results. All 3 machines had 8gigs of DDR3 as their system memory, same sticks used in all 3 machines. Tested in a core i5 Windows 7 PC playing Kerbal Space Program on fantastic video settings, full res and 1080p with no lagging, stuttering or low frame rates, maintained 60fps+ all the way to orbit with a medium complexity craft. This is a 5 star GPU in an i5 or i7 PC considering this card is under $100. Tested this in a Windows 7 Hex core 2.7 ghz AMD PC and had poor results, but that could be due to many factors, Tried to play Rust on that machine with this card and couldn't get the frame rates high enough on even the lowest settings to make the game smooth enough to play comfortably. The third PC is an Ubuntu 14.04 Overclockable motherboard, AMD Phenom II x4 850 running at 3.7ghz and was able to comfortably play Rust on low graphics settings and able to play Kerbal Space Program on 1080p at 60+ fps, same as the i5. All in all this is a very good card for the price and i'm impressed they squeezed so much in such a small package. I'm still skeptical as to weather or not that little fan will hold up for more than a year but time will tell.

Great economy single-width gaming card.
WARNING! If you use HDMI, keep in mind this card has a MINI HDMI connector, not regular HDMI, so you will need an adapter, or mini to regular HDMI cable to use HDMI. REVIEW: I bought this for my son and installed it in my machine just to play around with it before I put it in his machine since he was with the grandparents for the weekend. I use an ATI 7750, which I thought was a relatively decent card. This card blew it away! I played Elder Scrolls online on ultra, and it handled it. I couldn't play long-term like that because you can certainly feel the strain on the card, but on medium settings the game still looked beautiful and worked smooth as butter. Way better than my 7750 was doing. Since this was a side-by-side comparison I have to say Nvidia has definitely impressed me. I've been an ATI junkie for a while, but I might just have to switch back. Keep in mind, at the price, this really is more of an economy gaming card, and it fits in my son's Dell Optiplex "modified" 755 with upgraded power supply, which a double-wide will NOT fit. As always, EVGA makes a great product with solid components and the card looks and feels high quality. Anyway, if you need an economy card, or have a Dell that the engineers built to only accept single-width video card, then this card is a great fit.

PCI-e 3.0 video card is good to go!
1st off, be sure to disable your existing onboard video in the device manager, if you're computer already has video running off the CPU-motherboard. This snaps in with easy in your PCI-e 3.0 slot, use the 1st one closest to the CPU. This is the basic stuff to add video cards when upgrading your machine when upgrading onboard graphics. When you disable your current video, windows reverts to basic resolution, but you can run the CD, reboot and you'll have this card working in no time flat. Went from 6.6 to a 6.9 in the windows rating system, so no major increase here. Did gain 2560 x 1440 resolution, over the 1920 x 1080i that was part of my I7 4790 3.6 gig processor. Biggest gain was the caching time to render videos I make for youtube. Figure cut this time by 50%, it takes a long time when you are editing HD video. For those with small power supply, even though I have a 800 watt power supply ...this should make this an attractive card to purchase. Know there's better, faster, and more expensive cards available. but for my usage this card does it's job without breaking the bank. Important: seen some reviews complaining about on this card's fan noise, they must have super sensitive hearing, because I can't hear mine. I've had and have noisy video cards and this ain't one of them!

Cheapest on the market and zero problems
Runs three monitors at the same time with no problmes, unlike some video cards that have three outputs but only support dual monitors. This is a great substitute for the OEM card in a business setting where multiple monitors are needed. We use it where we have dual monitors with DVI and a TV with HDMI on a wall or table (which is really just a big monitor) for clients to see. I imagine that some cards may be better for gaming, but in my use haven't ever seen any output short of perfect. Installation was simply a process of removing the old and plugging this one in; the configuration is automatic these days.

And its already super clocked yet it runs cool 50 Celsius full power
Wow, it installed instantly, it looks incredible using Mini HDMI (Note PRODUCT NEEDS MINI HDMI ADPATER) order one first. Anyway product is incredible, I could play game on Max Ultra and its unreal quality. Works with ease on Windows 8.1 with UEHI Bios an i-3 (3rd Gen) Intel and my memory for graphics is now 7 GB total. This card is absolutely 2014 Technology and the PhysX looks incredible. This card is under priced from what I can tell. And its already super clocked yet it runs cool 50 Celsius full power. With an i-3 or i-5 or i-7 system this thing will blow your mind, its awesome. Also it runs perfect on a 300 Watt Power Supply. I know it recommends 400 W but it works flawless on a basic 300 W, so do not let that stop you.

Great performance, bad luck
First off, the card installs quick and easy. Drivers work well etc. The card runs every game I have on medium to high settings and many on Ultra. Great performance for the price. BUT...My first card lasted just one week and just stopped working. Amazon returns handled that wonderfully and super fast. My second card is in and I'll keep this updated if I have any further issues. I'm hoping this one holds together because it is an awesome card in terms of performance. Update: Well, the 2nd card failed in one week as well. My computer greatly exceeds all the power requirements, I am running the newest drivers, etc. I am returning this card as well and trying something else. Great performance! ... if you can get it to hold together. I'm taking this rating down to 3 stars based on my problems. Many others have had good success with this card and it is the bomb for performance. Good luck.

GT740 SC S.S. 4GB DDR3 RUNS AMAZINGLY WELL!
HOLY COW! Pretty decent little card, great price, runs quiet as a church mouse *fan sometimes stutters and clangs sometimes, apparently these do that, if it means getting a new one i would, but i can deal if it really matters LOL*, nice shine to the cooler cover, shipped in 4 DAYS!! *:UPDATE:* OH MY GOSH! Is all I have to say, this card runs games at insane FPS for the cost. Its hands down the best card for the price, for a budget gaming PC! The GT 740 SC 4GB DDR3 with AMD 4100fx running at 3.5GHz, and 8GB of dram (LOL, old PC), also with 4 120mm fans for cooling, featuring a 450 wattage gold plated PSU all in total this little gaming PC I've had for many years is actually worth something now thanks to this card, anyways the computer runs BF3 1600x900 High settings 60 FPS, MW2 1600x900 avg. 78 FPS, MW3 1600x900 Ultra all-on avg. 42 FPS, Skyrim 1600x900 High settings 30 FPS everywhere on map. UPDATE December 24 2016: I just bought a GTX1060 6GB SSC edition in replacement of this graphics card. I ordered it a week and a half ago and it hasn't arrived yet, says it will be here by the 28th December. Can't wait! This GPU has done me well for the time I have used it. It runs Battlefield 3 at medium settings a solid 50fps. But it would not run the Battlefield One beta hardly. I had to on Ultra LOW settings with 1600x90p resulution and lowest scaling. Still ran at 30fps with terrible graphics. I couldn't even see the enemy when they shot me. Pumped for the EVGA 1060 to arrivvvvvveeee! Merry Christmas! 2018: got a gtx1080 asus rog, died. 2018-19: got a GTX660Ti 2019-2020: got a gtx1080 factory watercooled evga. Still have 660ti and 1080 watercooled. But water cooled died in '24. 660ti running strong still.

Absolutely brilliant graphics card!!!
Got this graphics board 1 year ago now, was just too busy to write a review straight away ;) This is a great cheap graphics solution. It speeds up your pc whenever you are browsing web or play games. As I have an old PC (Intel Quad core 2.4 Ghz on only 3GB ddr2 memory, new Seagate Barracuda 1TB hdd on Windows 7/10 64 bit, it runs reasonably well Doom 2016 on medium settings @1366x768 resolution, which I can't just believe it would be possible. This is not over, runs absolutely great Wolfenstein New Order on full hd @1920x1080 medium settings!!! Does anyone need more for a graphics which draws the power off pci-express only with no additional connections for below £100?? What I pln to do just build a basic AMD machine with decent quad-core processor and 8GB RAM and it will run pretty much everything...
