They don't hurt my feet or make them feel "squished" like most other brands do. I now needed to buy a steel toe shoe for work. I was reading some of the other comments and it seemed to lean more to they weren't made well for a work shoe/boot. I looked at Timberland's & other highly rated shoes. I went to a Skechers store and tried these on. I fell in love immediately. They were so comfortable. They have the gel inserts & were not as heavy as I expected for a steel toe boot. I used them on the first day of a new job without breaking them in. My feet never got tired or felt uncomfortable. They are well made & look good! More than few people mentioned they looked great & inquired where I bought them. And the price won't hurt you. I bought them on desertcart for $70 when I had a $150 budget. Money well spent. The shoe is excellent. However, the initial fit seems close-fitting. I'll recommend that a half size up but since it is leather the fit may improve after it has been broken out by wearing. After wearing for eight(8) months, practically every day to work, the only problem which I have is the loosening of the laces; they have to be retied often during the day. The waterproofing is, as advertised. Good product!

Update. Have these for 35 days and already have a rip in the material at the top of the shoe. Amazon is sending me a new set but I am not a believer in these shoes anymore. They look good but there crap I love the look and style of these. If you get them at a good price they're decent shoe. They keep your feet dry and the steel toe is but nice added protection. This is my second set the first set lasted 2 years and then has almost completely falling apart. The soul has detached from the shoe and all of the black material has come off of the toe. In my opinion Skechers has just turned into another Chinese made shoe the quality is not as good as I would expect for the money
