I really love the Madagascar Vanilla flavor over any other. This brand is high quality for a good price.

I use A LOT of vanilla. Most vanilla contains sugar, and I cannot eat sugar. So I've been on a perpetual search for high quality but not exorbitantly priced vanilla that doesn't contain sugar. Bakto pure vanilla qualifies in the "high quality" category. To my thinking it's a bit overpriced, but admittedly is not out of line with what is being charged these days for good, pure vanilla extract. (That said, because I use so much vanilla and good commercial vanilla is costly, I've taken to mostly making my own. But that's another story....)I would add that other Bakto extracts I've tried are also excellent in terms of quality. (I especially like their coffee extract. Amazing, intense flavor, just as such things should taste.)

This is my favorite Madagascar Vanilla. Great taste, great price. It must be popular, because sometimes it goes out of stock. We use vanilla a lot, so sometimes we stock up to avoid the necessary evil of lesser quality vanilla. Very good strong flavor so you don't have to use a lot.

Ever actually read the list of ingredients in products? When you think you are getting pure vanilla, for example, and you read the ingredients list, you find that all the other brands have sugar (or some form of it) in the list. This product is PURE VANILLA EXTRACT. Need I say more? (Well, that was a rhetorical question, I am a motor mouth so I go on.) It seems to blend in well as a flavoring (that's what I think it is supposed to do); from that I deduce it tastes good as an addictive; it's a little expensive (but the best things in life are never free--well, maybe a few exceptions), but you get what you pay for. Try it; I think you will like it.

I got tired of buying the small bottles of vanilla at outrageous prices at my local grocery stores. Since I use a lot of vanilla the tiny 1 or 3 ounce bottles simply didn't last very long. Also I wasn't happy that these grocery store vanillas contained either sugar or corn syrup. I wanted pure vanilla extract without unnecessary additives. Bakto Flavors Vanilla has filled this need for me extremely well.I've found this vanilla to work beautifully in all of my baking and ice cream making. So far I've used this vanilla in cookies, muffins, cakes, brownies, and ice cream with good results in each one.Another plus for this vanilla, unlike other larger bottles of extracts, it comes in a heavy dark glass bottle to protect the contents from light and with a tight stopper-like screw top to prevent evaporation.The only negative I can think of is that it's hard to pour without dribbling a bit over the edge of the bottle top. I've switched from trying to pour into a measuring spoon to using a small measuring glass with markings on the side. It makes a large target for pouring the vanilla that results in less dribbling and less waste.I'll be buying this vanilla regularly. Highly recommended.Product Update: Jan. 29, 2013I just received a re-order of this vanilla and was extremely disappointed to see that they are now packaging it in a plastic bottle rather than the glass one. I was willing to pay a slight premium for this vanilla in order to get it in a glass bottle. Now I'll be re-thinking future re-orders provided I can find a vendor who still uses glass versus plastic packaging. Why do I insist on glass wherever possible? Because the contents stay fresher much longer!

I was running low on Vanilla and did a butt ton of research into what I should be buying and the differences in quality.sooooo....DAYS later and fully informed, I bought BAKTO Vanilla and I LOVE it. Smells so good and the flavor imparted to my baking is brilliant (the whole family have nothing but great comments).I received 4 smaller plastic bottles, but I keep these in my indoor cool, dark pantry, so I feel that the fact they are not a glass bottle is not a downside. Well packaged and good delivery, I recommend!
