Putting this together is a bit time consuming, about 2 hours. I tell ya, it is worth it because my birds love it, especially my cockatiel, Teecko. The price is worth it to me; I don't believe it's all that expensive. The only thing is I was wondering where can I get replacement parts for it? My cockatiel has been chewing on the stair...

I never bother with negative reviews, but this item is way over priced and the preassembled pieces are not lined up right so none of the pre drilled holes are where they should be. Thus it splits when put together. I’m out over $50 this item was definitely way over priced. So unfortunate I was really excited to have this for the birds

Honestly we spent more time deciding on the "perfect" bird stand for our Cockatiel and getting frustrated because we could just not find that "perfect" ensemble. We came to discover that there IS no perfect bird stand, they just don't exist. There's always pros and cons...PRO's:It was cheap!It was small enough to fit on out table upstairs.It was cheap!CON's:It was cheap!A nightmare to assemble, some parts just wouldn't fit together.Wood is super flimsy and easily broken.The water and food dish clips on at a stupid angle where our bird can't reach it and it overhangs the base.It was cheap!The base itself doesn't stop our Cockatiel from spraying food all over the table, there's still a mess to clean up.It was cheap!Our bird ate the perches. While standing on them.Did I mention it was cheap?Did I also mention that our bird is too lazy to explore the bird stand? He just stands up top and looks at us. All these gadgets, tadders, bells and whistles look nifty but if the bird won't interact with them what's the point? The long ladder had to be permanently fixed to the unit because having that as a "swing" was just stupid. It was far too much jerky movement for a Cockatiel to feel comfortable on.Bottom line, yes it will perch your small bird. Yes there will be a mess to clean up. Yes your bird will probably eat it. Yes you will probably tear your hair out assembling it. Would we buy one like this again? Hell no. Next time I think we'll opt for a more expensive but simple "branch on a base". No frills, just what the bird wants.

Just received this item today. It Took me about an hour to put together. Very minimal instructions but was easy to figure out. I'm gonna say I'm disappointed at the quality of it. The wood on several piece was split and split easily while putting it together. The food dishes are nice and fit well and don't come off easily which is nice. The pan is very nice as well. Easy to clean but loud when toys are dropped on it. 😃 If Houdini (my conure) could vote he would give it 5 stars. He loves it. The nesting box is his favorite. I put a little piece of cloth in the box and he is really enjoying it.
