Adequate for occasional home use. For the price, I do not expect scissors to remain sharp, but they're cheaper than a salon for a trim or a basic cut, so, when they wear our, replace them. Low cost scissors are great when new, so replacing is affordable and worth the next clean cut. Having said that, well I have not yet done a haircut, I tested the scissors and thinning shears, and they have a good weight and are comfortable to hold. They also worked as expected on my testing cuts. Everything in this kit was quite acceptable. The clips are super super cheap. One came obliterated through shipping. Don't think that you will be able to use these with your haircut sectioning! The cape has an elastic neck wrap and seems like it will be comfortable enough for my hair cutting subjects (grandsons, daughters, random friends that want a cut). The straight razor with sharp enough to cut the hair on my arm. The bristles of the brush seem secure as then they are not falling out right away. There are cheaper options out there, but this had everything that I needed and was an easy click through for purchasing.

I LOVE my new scissor set...both pairs of sheers are nice and sharp and work extremely well. Some of the reviews I had read said the clips were useless as was the razor comb...but both worked well for me. GREAT little set...very happy with my purchase!
