Portable Manual Coconut Husker

I live in Florida where coconuts are plentiful and a big family who loves them too. Before I bought this tool our family would gather and take turns hacking away at the coconuts with knives. Dangerous and tedious! Then I decided to buy this tool and it works wonders. It was so easy to use and I was able to split open young coconuts with ease. I loved it so much, I bought 2 more as gifts.

Got this a week earlier than promised - so, once I got it out of its very thorough wrappings, I took it right out to my collection of coconuts recently dropped by my trees, and dehusked a coconut inside of two minutes.I agree with other posters - the handles could use some cushioned rubber grips. But right now, after all my previous efforts to manually dehusk a coconut ended in failure, I am feeling grateful to the entire Thai nation for having invented this tool that actually works.

JUst recieved this. really fast shipping. Had to try it out and it did an excellent job. Opened 10 coconuts in less than 15 min. For the first go round i am very happy.

This item really works. There is still a lot of elbow grease required but this is much safer than using a machete.

This coconut husker will surpass your expectations and more. It's easy to use, it's not too heavy to the point where your arms will fall off, and it gets straight to the point. I've studied coconuts for 6 months and began looking for efficient ways to open a coconut without a machete and this is it. Before it took me exactly 4 mins to open a coconut with a butter knife. Now it only takes me 1 minute and with practice, the time can cut down to 30 seconds. So make sure to buy this amazing tool its an investment for the future. The tip is not that sharp but it can still puncture and hurt you so make sure you wear closed toed shoes.

I can tell you that living on an island with coconuts everywhere but no way to get the coconut juice/meat is annoying. You can ask the locals to help you with a couple but they all seem to have a sharpened piece of rebar that they never leave with anyone to use. I get it but if you not careful, that rebar can go right through your hand! I stumbled on this item and I must admit it makes getting a freshly fallen coconut exciting LOL! I go for the green ones because I value the juice more than the meat inside. I have used this multiple times and it gets easier each time I use it. The coconuts are so plentiful here and I have no problems getting 5 husked and in my fridge in minutes. I admit that you will sweat a lot using this tool but that is not even a factor when it comes to getting free coconut water right off the tree - SO WORTH IT!

It works. I love it. It's a lot cheaper if you can buy it in Thailand, but it's worth it.

This is the best tool around for opening up the coconut! Much safer and 10 times quicker than a machete!
