10lbs is not enought for fire place. At least 20lbs to start with get inside fireplace. But it is working at high temperatures and looking good

I am starting narcissus bulbs with these rocks and water to nearly the top. It appears that they will work and we should have some beautiful flowers sometime around Thanksgiving.

Two bags filled up our 12 inch by 12 inch fireplace nicely. These were a marked improvement over the lava rock.

Pretty color. Looks great in patio fire table.

We made our own fire table by converting a fire pit into one that uses gel fuel in a small container surrounded by these stones. The stones arrived in great condition, three separate bags (clear, dark and caramel) and only a few chipped out of 10 lbs. They look great and the colour combination is especially pretty with the light from the fire bouncing off of the glass. In our configuration the fire doesn’t actually touch the stones directly but surrounds them to look like it is coming right out of the glass;I can’t speak to performance in direct fire contact like a gas fire table would be. I am very happy with this purchase.

Some pieces arrived broken and that was to be expected with a glass item. I’ve had the rocks for a few months now and have had about 12 fires so far. I noticed that there are more and more pieces breaking. Before every fire I remove approximately 15 broken stones. Very dangerous once broken. I recommend extreme caution when dealing with these items.

The glass started changing colour on the first use. You can see in the picture it started to go red inside them. So I can’t clean it off. All glass in the middle of the ring where the flame is did this. The ones on the outside of the ring where no flame is are fine.

These are cool, love the look in our propane firepit. Add a new element and sends you into a relaxing zone.
