OVATEMP- ONDO Oral Basal Thermometer for iOS.

First one came in with a damaged tip, app seems to be a bit glitchy/instructions for app could be better. Returning the broken one for a new one and will revise review accordinglyUPDATE: Reduced to one star. My second unit arrived and though it isn't physically broken like the first unit, it is not sending temperature information to the app. The app shows that the unit is correctly paired to the iPhone, but it will not load the temperature, nor prior temperatures. Great concept, except it doesn't work. Waste of money, returning this unit as well. You are better off with a cheap $6 basal thermometer and the free MyDays app to keep track of temps.

Well first day with this thermometer that cost mega bucks. Supposed to be user friendly so they made it ultra minimalistic - to the point where there are no clear instructions or troubleshooting. I'll update as I learn how to use this thing, so far not impressed and thinking of returning it for a cheaper one.-- well the app didn't wake me up like it should have to take my temp. No worries though I had a backup alarm go off. Been up since 6am and it's not 7:20 and I have yet to capture a single temperature from this device. The lights blink orange (not green like it says in the manual) when you press the button. Conceptually this a great idea, but selling this product at a high price you would expect some QC to make sure the devices are not defective and are operating appropriately. Also to maybe come with a manual that is up to date? I have written customer service but more than likely I will find a box today and send it back for a refund. Ladies - just go with a simple one that actually works.

The app crashes - I'm currently locked out of it, so I can't see what my temp is today because there isn't a screen on the thermometer. They will toy with your reproductive health. Oh and they have beyond terrible customer service.

I rarely write reviews about things, but when you buy a BBT thermometer for $80 and it turns out to be unuseable; you kinda owe it to anyone else out there considering it to be warned.***This product is ONLY compatible with iOS devices***They do not make that clear. Even the fine print. There is no corresponding app available for Android or other operating systems. After placing the order (as a gift for my fiancè, cause...well...you know why) she noticed that while it does say "mobile device" in the landing page description, it also says in the lower product description "syncs to a connected app on your iOS device..." So then we're wondering if it actually works only on an iOS. Do some digging and further research and find out that, yup. We're screwed.So what do I do? I go immediately and attempt to cancel the order before it's been shipped. This should solve the problem, right? Wrong. I get a message from Amazon saying that there was an email system delivery error, but that the seller 'should' still be able to receive the cancel request. I attempted to communicate directly with the seller (Ovatemp) with no answer. A day later the order status changes to"shipped". A week later, I receive it.And here we are. Attempting to return it. I may attempt to update and change rating depending on how this return process goes.Otherwise, it looks like a great little product...but I'll never get to know if it actually is.

Great little thermometer for iOS users. I used an iBasal thermometer previously that took AGES to confirm temp, this device in comparison is lightening fast and accurate. I tested the readings between iBasal, a hospital BBT, and my Ovatemp.I love that it syncs with health kit. So if any other app needs temps and has health kit enabled, it can share data. Would be nice for them to sync and chart your weight so you can see bloat prior to a period :-)As for the one thing I didn't like, the app needs to be open to sync the temp. If it's not open, you can manually sync it later on. It's not a big deal, but would be better if sync worked even while the app is closed.The app itself needs a little work, a few bugs here and there, but their customer support team is incredibly receptive. They've already fixed a few things since their initial launch, and I get replies within the same day for any questions/concerns I have.All in all, I like my little thermometer. Glad I have it. Makes my life just that much easier.

Simple, easy to use, fun charting! I've been charting manually for 22 years and now with Ondo everything is easier. Thank you!!!

For the cost of this thermometer I expected it to be a lot better than what it was. First of all, pulling it straight out of the box, there were no in depth instructions. There were even some things on the app that I had no idea what they meant and there was no where I could that explained what they were.I had difficulties getting the thermometer to work properly, and seeing as your supposed to take your temperature PRIOR to rising, it made this task difficult when I couldn't get it to function.The battery was supposed to last about a month and this was not the case. I only used the thermometer for 2 months before I ended up getting pregnant and during that timeframe I had to charge it at least 4x...and it took HOURS!I would prefer a thermometer that has a display right on the screen. I like how the app syncs up with your phone but it's ridiculous how you NEED the phone in order to use it.I tried contacting customer support pertaining to the many issues that I've had and it took several days to get a response and the response itself was very generic and didn't help me whatsoever.When the thermometer is in 100% working order it does work great. It had a nice diagram that you could look at and see the pattern of your daily temperature, but that's all I really found helpful.I wasn't impressed and now I have this expensive thermometer that I can't use for anything else.
