Battery not needed if solar panel has been powered up. Be aware this product has a lot of small parts and the age bracket should be 12 or older, unless your child is extremely mechanical. I reached out to the seller and received a replacement within days. Would recommend the robot and the seller to anyone!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Too Many Little Parts !! *by K***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2020* This was a gift for my 9 year old Grandson for Christmas. The packaging indicated it was for ages 6+ so I thought it would be fairly easy to assemble. Was not pleased to see all the little screws, bolts and parts that can get lost during assembly. This item needs supervision and a safe place to contain the parts, etc. The idea was great, but, the item was too complicated and had too many small parts for most kids that age to assemble on their own. He lost interest because of the difficulty, so this was not the right gift for him. I think the packaging needs to be relabeled with a different age, or let the buyer know the assembly is challenging due to the small parts , etc.. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/156288270-sillbird-stem-4wd-car-diy-climbing-vehicle-kit-electric-mechanical](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/156288270-sillbird-stem-4wd-car-diy-climbing-vehicle-kit-electric-mechanical) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
