Exact fit for an 03 XR70.
fit for an 03 XR70. Had to get a new rear sprocket and chain to match the 428 pitch front sprocket that comes on this motor ( wound up ordering a rear sprocket for an XR 100 because it has the same hub dimensions and bolt pattern ). Also had to add a clutch lever and cable since the bike was equipped with a semi automatic transmission, but other than that it went right in no issues. Fired up easy, runs great. You do have to start it in neutral, if you try to pull the clutch in and start it in gear it feel like it has no compression and won’t start. Confused me for a little while but that’s how it work I guess.

Price reflects quality
Currently at 1 star as i received a faulty engine. We'll see if an exchange fixes my issues.Very poor build quality. Arrived with oil leaks amd bad gear box.I have a Lifan 125 on my ct90 and this on my cl90. Performance is comparable, but the Lifan has better quality of build. Either way, they're chinese clones, if you want quality, spring for the honda engine.I'm now 20km into the break-in period and theres a slow oil leak along the entire crank case gasket and down shift from 3rd misses 2nd and goes N 75% of the time, making the engine borderline useless. Ive requested a replacement/exchange.For your consideration;There are zero install instructions included. Nothing at all. Not even a packing sheet.No wiring harnessNo Plug wireNo coil.The CDI it ships with is useless if you don't have a harness. I'm not sure why they ship with one. Install instructions could probably shed some light on that.-- If you have a pre-70s honda CT, CL, ST, whatever, this engine WILL NOT fix your bike out of the box. NO HONDA CLONES WILL. Pre-1970 honda Had not yet standardized their lay-flat engine mounts. There's like 2 or 3 different lay outs, and none fit new Honda clones. Search for "DrATV" through your favorite search engine and look for the "Adaptor Footrest" and the "Rear motor mount adaptor kit". You will need both of these to modernize your mounts. Super easy to install. Not available on Amazon.You will also need a 32mm exhaust. CT90, CT90, and CL90 all have different exhaust sizes; CT110 will fit, but that's $$$

Easy to install, hard to find neutral.
I put this on my Honda Trail 70 mini bike, it was easy to install with the original frame and muffler.. The gear configuration is terrible only because neutral is between first and second gear, and can be very tricky or impossible to find especially when breaking in the motor and while it's running. However for the price it has amazing power and was easy to install within a half hour by myself. The wiring on the motor is meant for a harness and I didn't have one, so I hot wired this to run with only a kill switch. This motor would have costed me twice as much plus labor at a repair shop.

Engine quick. Had one broken part on the carb but customer service took care of it and sent new parts immediately. Would definitely buy from them again

Wiring is done all wrong
The wiring on the motor was done completely wrong and didn’t fit remotely close to anything. Don’t buy just spend the extra few hundred on a better one or don’t waste your money
