Remington Hunting Cleaning and Maintenance Kit

Bought this kit about a year ago and didn’t like it, but I finally used it more and love it! The handle for the cable took a few tries before I found the sweet spot to latch it every time, but now it’s great. This is a great all-in-one kit; everything you need to clean your firearms. Not only does it have everything, including a handy mat, but a place for all your cleaning gear in one kit. The “Rem” all-in bore cleaner does a great job and the squeege is unbelievable - one pull and squeeky clean; I love it. Very quick to clean your firearms.

Incredibly handy kit! I keep my Winchester Punch Set, Wheeler Hammer and Punch set as well as a Winchester 51 piece screw driver set inside this case! Love how it keeps everything organized. Gun cleaning mat has velcro to fold up and attach to the pocket it gets stored in! All around great buy! Just wish the price was a little less... I feel like it's a little over priced however Amazon was the cheapest I could find it!

The most useful thing from the beginning was the range bag itself. The bag is sturdy, the zippers are sure, and there is plenty of room for ammunition, magazines, "eyes and ears," and small tools. The bag contains wire brushes and bore squeegees in multiple calibers, short (handgun), medium (carbine), and long (rifle) wires with a removable handle to pull the squeegee through the barrel, drop cloth, chamois, two other brushes (look like oversized toothbrushes), and small bottles of Rem-Oil and (thick!) bore cleaner. I was able to clean my upper receiver with minimal fuss, but the barrel was a slightly different story. I get that you are supposed to use the squeegee to clean the bore, but you cannot attach the the wire brushes to the pull wires and the kit includes no patches (I guess you have to give the bore cleaner plenty of time to run down). If either were present, you could clean everything right out of the bag. In any case, the kit made my life a lot easier, so it gets a great (albeit not the highest) rating. CORRECTION: It IS possible to connect the wire brushes to one of the pull wires, so I was able to scrape out some of the fouling inside my barrel. After scraping, I soaked a patch in the bore cleaner, inserted it into the barrel and pulled the patch through with a squeegee to really clean the barrel (repeating the process with Rem-Oil to lubricate). This really seemed to do a good job. A nice set of instructions would have been nice, but I suppose that's what the Internet is for.

I have the following calibers to which this cleaning kit was able to suite all 99% of my needs; .22, 9mm, .40, .45, 410, 20 gauge, 12 gauge, 270 win, 444 marlin, 6.5 creedmor (i did buy a couple bore snakes for the shotgun's). Yes you can build your own cleaning kit/bag though for the calibers i have mentioned you would spend well over $100 for the bag and cleaning kits. The bag itself is not the greatest quality though I can safely say it will last me a decade. The kit is light weight and the inside allows for plenty of storage space (rags (4), q-tips, gun oil, gun solvent, bore snakes for the shotguns, sandwich size bags with gloves and extra materials). I have had the bag for about a year and have used it about a dozen times, I am an amateur gun enthusiast in which I have no major complaints on the quality of the bag or the contents, yes there are better individual kits out there though i am not looking for individual kits. The exterior material, zippers and handles are of adequate quality to which I believe there will be no issues. The bag is fairly small which is nice as I do not need another Range Bag to store or find space for. Yes, I would buy this again and I have recommended it to my friends.

Awesome cleaning kit for the gun enthusiast. Has everything you need to start the basic cleaning duties. In addition to all the tools and brushes and rods and oil and cloths, there is a good sized compartment for adding other cleaning supplies like patches, or ammo, or other range tools. I love this thing. Nice and small but has everything. Great starter kit. Bag is also well made

Came in a few days early! I immediately used the squeegee system to clean my rifle that I had just cleaned my normal method, and this kit pulled out a TON of crap the old brush and patch method left behind. It had everything listed on the box, But I added my cleaning rod, extra 12g, .22 and .30 cal brushes,a narrow head nylon brush, swabs, patches, and bore mops... there's still room to add a couple extras. I was able to fit 200 rounds of 308, multi tip screwdriver, pliers, and allen keys, plus a large microfiber, and it's only 2/3 full.

I loved the flexibility of this kit, but in practice, I'm thinking of buying something else. (I hate doing that because I paid much more than what Amazon is selling it for) It comes with a nice felt pad to lay down, but its too small. It comes with all the brushes and squeegees you need, but they're too long. It many of my guys, I run the cable down through the bore, and screw the squeegee on it, so I can drag all the liquefied junk out through the muzzle, instead of into the chamber. For this, the cable system is awesome. However, because the squeegees are so long, sometimes I really have to bend them HARD to get them around the corner and into the chamber. This will clean your guns and has everything you need to do it. I just expected more for the price.

Prior to this kit I was used to using patches, brushes, and various solvents/cleaners from numerous kits. It could take hours to clean multiple guns if I could even find the correct combination of pieces to run a patch. I just received this kit and immediately put it to use and I have to say initial impressions are great. I was able to clean 4 guns in under an hour (and I was taking my time). The only thing I could find a problem in was that I couldn't get the quiklock T-handle for the pull wire to work with a lot of pressure. maybe I didn't have it locked right or maybe it doesn't need a lot of strength to work. Besides that, 5 stars

Il set che ho comprato mi è stato recapitato in perfetto orario, addirittura in largo anticipo da quanto mi era stato comunicato sull'ordine. E' proprio quello di cui avevo bisogno, una strumentazione molto buona qualitativamente in una piccola borsetta pratica ed estremamente maneggevole. L'olio lubrificante l'ho trovato facile da utilizzare e di ottima qualità; ne ho provati molti ma questo, piccolo e ricaricabile (ottima cosa, così si può travasare da una bottiglia più grande comprata magari all'ingrosso, con notevole risparmio sul prezzo finale) ha un beccuccio proprio ottimo. Consiglio a tutti coloro che vogliono avere un'attrezzatura di qualità ad un prezzo giusto.

It's a great tool to have at home if you are a shooter who like clean gun.Before buying this kit I saw a lot of model and according to me it's one of the best on the market.It's easy to use and it does a good job.

This is a fantastic kit and includes everything that you need for cleaning any bore of rifle or shotgun. It is excellently presented in a range bag with the cleaning gear in separate zipped pockets around 3 corners of the bag. This leaves a decent sized range bag for your ear defenders, shooting glasses etc. Money well spent!
