Nice endmills but one had an open cavity
Bought 5, 4 worked great. One exploded the second it touched aluminum. -Update as of 04-14-24 I bought 5 of these Sep 13, 2023 and have using them on 6065 aluminum regularly. I have filled about 20 buckets full of shavings since then and other than the one endmill that seems to have been manufactured with an air pocket in it they have been holding up incredibly well. Usually when I toss out an endmill is when the corners start getting rounded after 2-3 plates of aluminum as they can no longer hold tolerances. However, these end mills hold a corner edge for substantially more than 3 plates. I would go as far as to say that they by far the hardest carbide I've bought on Amazon. Although they may not outperform the finish on a $65 Amana 1/4" end mill they do excel in longevity. Despite the steep price I would highly recommend this end mill for roughing operations or when hogging out large amounts of material.

Great Bit for a Great Price
Very sharp bits. I'm using these to cut acrylic and they work well. Go to the Kodiak web site to get feeds and speeds. Highly recommend!

Good bit
I like these bits and I had no issue using them at all. Just wish that they were a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

This was my first carbide end mill - have been buying HSS. Only regret is that I did not buy this sooner.

Made in America!
Kodiak is an affordable line of cutting tools for the home hobbyist. That doesn't mean second quality is good enough. Materials are too expensive to risk damaging a piece that I've worked on for hours because of inferior tooling. Kodiak carbide end mills are razor sharp and leave a nice surface finish.

Still Sharp!!!
I must make one thing very clear. I am very new to machining anything. The equipment I am using has been cobbled together. With that being said I have made several mistakes with CAM software and some hardware mistakes. I use this product to mill aluminum parts to upgrade my current system. Ok down to the meat and potatoes. This mill has been rapidly plunged through 1 inch thick aluminum flat bar. I have put so much side load on the tool that either the mill or the spindle brackets should have broken. I cannot seem to kill the thing, and it remains sharp to this day. The item arrived the next day. If you are thinking it over I hope this helps. As for me, I am looking for more end mills that will fit my need and Kodiak will be my tool of choice.

Not an experienced CNC'er, but this end mill fit the bill perfectly. I'll be ordering more of these in the future.

Broke first cut. Good for wood and plastics but was no good for steel. Ended up ordering a different brand thatโs much better.
