But it's simple design and utility appealed to me. A little research, and I ordered this tool from this seller (perhaps ironically, I won't be using for it's primary purpose — rope splicing).Received today. Price is reasonable. Tooi is well-made; sturdy, yet light. Nice finish to both the metal and the wooden handle; no rough edges from the machining process.Attached are photos: fid in use during knot typing, and the almost finished product.
