Moderna Artisan Series Double Wall 8 oz Beverage Glasses - Set of 4 Drinking Glasses

I've used traditional (white porcelain) cappuccino cups for many years and wasn't sure what to make of these, but here's what makes them great: - Double Wall really works. There's no heat around the outer layer of glass, which is better than traditional porcelain where you have to hold by the tiny handle due to heat transfer along the sides... - Clear glass is really nice for cappuccinos and lattes because you can see exactly how much espresso/milk/froth you're pouring, and it just looks great. The clear wall is also nice when you're extracting espresso straight to the glass because you can see how much heart/body/crema you're getting from the pull. - The glass seems fairly thick so it's probably less prone to break (I hope). - I specifically bought these for espresso based drinks and was concerned about the shape being too tall and not wide enough but they're 100% spot on. When making a latte you want enough surface area to be able to make good latte art (or bad art in my case) and these are the perfect size. - The price is fair. I think these would be worth as much as $10 each so I was happy to get them at $7.50 each. The not so great: - Although I appreciate the grip indentions along the sides of the glass, it's not enough to provide a secure grip when the outside of the glass gets wet. Grip isn't a problem when it's dry, but if you're hand washing the glass, or if you spill over the sides it does get pretty slippery. I wouldn't mind seeing another model with a frosted glass ring around it, or some sort of texture to assist with the grip. Having said that, I still give 5 stars for a great product.

I already owned some small ceramic espresso shot glasses that I used for my daily cappuccino or latte. What I loved about them was their "heft" - they were solid and substantial. But while solid in the hand, they did not retain heat well and an espresso shot cooled quickly. So, I began the hunt on Amazon for something with better heat retention and, preferably, something made of clear glass (the appeal of glass construction was that I would be able to see whether or not I was pulling a good shot with lots of crema). The Moderna Artisan double wall espresso shot glasses appear to fit the bill. They have small indentations on the side that make them easy to hold and they are easily handled immediately after filling with hot liquid. Yet they remain cool to the touch. The double wall design creates an insulation layer that keeps the hot HOT and the cool COOL. Because they are glass, the packaging is important to ensure that they do not arrive cracked or broken. I found the packaging to be solid and well thought out with individual compartments for each glass and each glass wrapped in its own protective bubble wrap. My shipment arrived with nary a problem. If I had one criticism of the glasses it would be that they are VERY light. I almost thought they were plastic the first time I handled them. But this is a small nitpick on my part. The quality of these glasses is evident. They are attractive, and most importantly, they do exactly what I expected them to do. If you are in the market for glass, insulated, and attractive espresso shot glasses you should be very satisfied with these.

I ordered these glasses after much deliberation between the Ozeri and the Bodum glasses. I decided to get these based on three main reasons: they were much cheaper than the Bodum ones, they were not manufactured with that silicon plug that Bodum decided to put into their glasses a while ago, and Ozeri reportedly has excellent customer service (which they do, emailing me to tell me that they hoped I was satisfied with my purchase). I totally made the right decision. These are great glasses! I was also a little hesitant about the two opposing dimples in the glasses that are supposed to make them easier to hold. They did, a little. But stylistically...they don't impact the glasses that much, which is a great plus as I did like the way the Bodum glasses look slightly better. They're sleek and simple, adding the perfect modern touch to my coffee and cocktails. So far, the glasses have held up extremely well. I hand wash mine and they still look great after several washings. My boyfriend also accidentally dropped some ice cubes into one of the glasses. Nothing happened! These glasses are solid! We haven't had any accumulation of condensation for cold drinks, eliminating the need for coasters. A great purchase!

These are knock-offs of an almost identical product by Bodum which I also love ( Bodum Pavina 2.5-Ounce Double-Wall Thermo Glasses (Espresso/Shot), Set of 2 ). Unfortunately, Bodum now manufactures them with a hole in the outer bottom, covered with a silicon plug. They advertise it as an improvement but I like the simple elegance of intact double-walled glass. These, made by Ozeri, are only distinguishable from the old Bodums in that they have a pair of shallow dimples just bigger than a dime, one on either side half way up. I don't find they detract from the look or feel of the glasses at all. In fact, they make nice rests for thumb and opposing finger - I can't decide if I like them better or the old Bodums. In any case it's not so noticeable that you can't mix them on a tray. As for craftsmanship, these seem to be just as well made - borosilicate glass, which in my experience is durable both in resistance to breakage and in maintaining clean beautiful looks. In fact, I have been dishwashing the old Bodums for years and had no problems till I dropped one from an upper shelf (about 8 feet) and it shattered. Ozeri says they are both dishwasher and microwave safe.

Very pleased with these glasses. Like double walled glasses and cups for hot and cold drinks. Very thin glass but quite sturdy. Would happily buy again.

These are my favorite tea glasses, & I use them twice a day., every day to see & appreciate the color, clarity, & aroma of the various loose leaf teas that I brew. Love the 4 opposing dimples on these glasses to always have a great grip, without the fear of them slipping out of you hand. Will also be using them for my fresh home roasted coffee, & any other beverage hot or cold., I care to drink when the mood strikes! :D These are EXCELLENT double walled heat resistant borosilicate glasses that are made with the same glass that labware is made from! Exemplary customer service from the customer service rep when I needed some questions answered about shipping from an Ozeri wharehouse in California to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. All glasses are bubble wrapped inside the display box, & this is wrapped in brown shipping paper followed by a complete bubble wrap. This package is then packaged inside a larger box with the brown bunched up shipping paper in the bottom & top!, extremely well packaged against breakage!! :) Cheers! ;)

These are lovely little Espresso glasses, and we love the dimples , make sit much easier to hold. I can see that due to the size we will have to be careful, as I think they may be easy to knock and break. They work as described and delivered well packaged. Great Little Item
