We bought this clock for an elderly relative. He sleeps a lot during the day and often woke up confused as to whether it was day or night, the same or the next day. He was upset and so was I when I got phone calls at all hours of the day or night with him asking why it was dark out at 12, or light out at 8. This clock has solved so many issues. He can’t see well, but the display is large enough and clear enough for him to read. He loves the glow it imparts at night and says it’s like a night light. He still sleeps a lot but looks at the clock and is no longer confused about the time of day or the date.Don’t hesitate to buy this lock. We all love it!

I bought it because my husband has macular degeneration and he was having trouble seeing the clock we had in the bathroom during the night, and even during the day. When I bought this, I got more than I bargained for. It not only tells the time, but also the day and date and sub-categories like "pre dawn". I appreciate the extra information. Sometimes, when you're retired, and don't have a regular schedule, the day and date get away from you. This clock is there day and night to keep you current in easy-to-read numbers and letters. I'm really glad I bought it.

Love that it has a remote to set it. Now I do not have to climb a ladder to get it down for time change, set the initial time, or set an alarm. Bright enough that I can see it across the room (15feet) but not so bright it annoys me when I sleep. Display is clear enough so I do not need my glasses to see it (I use 1.5 strength per my eye doctor for distance viewing and driving (don't need prescriptions yet)).

I’m a Senior citizen and bought this clock for myself. I’ve had other clocks and have always been disappointed in one thing or another : Either the letters and numbers were too small, the display wasn’t bright enough in daylight or darkness, it was too complicated to set up or make minor adjustments, etc. But this clock is PERFECT. Every line of the display is easy to read in large block style type, the display is bright and easy to read in daylight as well as darkness, and the clock was incredibly easy to set up… here’s how you do it: open the box, remove the clock, plug the cord into an electrical socket, and wait about 20 seconds. Poof! Every line displays the accurate day of week, time of day and current month, date and year. That’s it! Enjoy your clock!

My mother has early stages of dementia and this was the best item we found to help know the date, day of the week and also time that display`s AM and PM. Works great and display is very clear. I would buy it again if needed.

This clock is great for my mother who has dementia. Easy to read and understand. I just wish they would last longer. This is the fourth one I have ordered for her - one for living area and one for bedroom. After about two years they have various problems with the screen such as half of it going out or constantly changing from time to generic statements of it's Thursday afternoon rather than spelling out specific date and time.

I'm a caregiver for a stroke survivor. EXACTLY what we needed. Big and bold. He can easily read it from a distance. With this clock he can glance at it and know it is morning or evening, and the day of the week. I loved taking it out of the box and it was set! I needed to set it back 3 hours, but that was so easy!!! The directions are clear. The buttons on the back of the clock are clear and large enough to read without my reading glasses. This clock tells our stroke survivor the time of day, day of week, day of the month, and morning or night.I purchased a different clock with a ceiling display, and it was great for the rest of us, but it was confusing to our stroke survivor.

Pretty good product ...delivers what it promises. I know of two improvents I would like to make.1. Refine the screen graphics. Large letters are easier to read up to a point. Then they get crowded. Perhaps delete the "period of the day" line.2. It would be nice if there were a "battery mode". The right place to hang or stand the clock for an old person is not always near a 120v. outlet.

To view in night you need to press button for light.probably to save the batteries otherwise you can’t view in night.

Night vision is not clear

This item is advertised as using batteries.It does not take batteries at all!
