Cameras themselves were very good. Problem I had was with the ethernet cables. Not up to par for my needs and caused issues.

I have been waiting for some cold weather before writing this review, so today and this weekend we have had a bit of cold dipping below -20 F here in Fairbanks, Alaska. The cameras are performing very well along with all their features. I will update as we get further into winter and post if or when the cameras start to have issues with the cold. I mounted them up under the eaves so snow has not been an issue.Installation was pretty cut and dry (I did the install) along with setting up the NVR. I like the system so far and would recommend if for folks who have extremely cold winters.

Awesome.Pros : easy set up (except for firmware updating). Connects to Ethernet for data and power so no Wi-Fi or battery issues. No monthly fees for stored videos. Excellent customer support. Image quality great. Has record mode and a deterrent mode (alarm and strobe light). 4K cameras have 2way audio.Cons: $ to run Ethernet cables to each camera. Quick start guide included but for details on bells and whistles you need to visit Swann youtube videos. Auto firmware update didn't install latest version which caused glitches for push notifications on android app. Cust service sent email on how to install it manually and push works great.

If you like recordings of a shadow of a bird flying over, then this is the system for you. You have to put all your cameras inside or under a patio/porch out of the sun. My drive way camera records all shadow movements like birds, trees, and flags on flagpoles.

Was sold a repaired item, as a new. Just to clarify I contacted swann, which went beyond expectations. I explained my swann dvr randomly dropped connection on the network pets for each camera. Then the dvi port quit working, so I had to resort from 4k to 1080 via the vga port on the dvr. Swann support have me specific instructions to return to them, even though I explained I purchased from Amazon. I only had to wait 8 business days where I received a call from swann explaining the item I was using had parts soldered onto the board of the dvr which were not compliment with their system. I was given the option to purchase a replacement, where I only had to pay for the shipment of my choice. After receiving the replacement, I've had it running now for two weeks and no problems at all.

Best cameras I have ever used. I thought 4 would be plenty. I ordered 2 more. Love the NVR, setup was easy, still marking adjustments to the software and push updates. Too many or too few, it's a little bit of a learning curve and I'm still not set up for the two way communication on my mobile when I'm not home.

I purchased in Jan 2020 and July (6 months later) the cameras started to shut down one by one. I now have cameras that do not work and I tried to get warranty support. Phone hold times are about 1 hour for each call and I had to call 5 times. They had me update software, change the wires and then said they needed a higher level of support to make to official warranty determination. I finally got to talk to him and he dropped the line and never called me back. The system worked great for first 6 months, but due to the poor (horrible) service, I do not recommend any SWANN product.

It's all about how well you install the cameras...they would have to be mounted as close to the exterior wall as possible if mounting under eaves to get the best quality performance...They work marvelous..They have an intimidating presence...
