While still a zero let-off design, the Genesis Pro lets archers customize their draw length and adjusts up to 25 lbs of draw weight. Our draw stop cam technology provides a “solid wall” or stop, ensuring you achieve the correct draw length every time. This helps archers using mechanical release aids to maintain proper form and produce a consistent follow-through for maximum accuracy. Details: Zero let-off design; Draw weight comes standard at 25 lbs and can be safely lowered to 15 lbs - all you need is a 3/16" hex wrench (provided) to adjust draw weight; Covers all standard draw lengths ranging between 15"-30"; Machined 6061-T6 aluminum riser, aluminum cam and idler wheel; Composite limbs; Cable guard; Molded competition grip; Riser is drilled and tapped for standard accessories; 0% let-off; 35 1/2" axle-to-axle; 7 5/8" brace height. Note: Arrow rest and arrow nock and not included.

im an adult beginner and this is my first bow. works great!
im 37 and this is my first bow. i bought my 12 year old daughter a Barnett Real Tree for Christmas and took her to the range. i gave it a few tries myself. it was fun, but hers was too small for me. i wanted to get one for myself so i could spend some quality time with her doing something she really enjoys. i didnt want to spend a fortune on equipment though. i have no plans to to compete or hunt. just something to do on weekends with my daughter. after doing a lot of reading on various bows i determined this bow as right for me. its just the right size and the pull is not too hard. its almost easier than my daughters which is 25lbs. i may need to adjust mine, im not sure how they come out of the box.i didnt realize that i would need to buy some additional equipment for it though. it does not come with an arrow rest (my daughters didnt either) and i decided to use a caliper release so i had to buy string to make a D loop. i also bought some decent quality aluminum arrows. my first time out i actually hit the bulls eye a few times. i plan to probably upgrade my arrow rest i bought to a wisker biscuit and possibly get a sight. other than that, i think its all i really need.with the extras i ended up having to buy plus additional stuff like the caliper release, arrow $$, quiver, bow square, etc... ive actually spent more than i had planned to. so im glad i bought a bow at this price because then i definitely would not be happy if i spent $300 on a bow just to have to out and spend another $200 on additional equipment.if you plan to get serious, you will probably want to buy something more upscale, even from the start. but if you plan to enjoy some quality family time like me, without spending a fortune, this bow does the trick. im very happy with my purchase. its a quality item and worth the $ i spent

Great for beginners or recovery from injuries
I have been shooting for almost 7 years and normally shoot a heavier bow. But after eye surgery, I was severely limited as to what physical activities were safe. So I got this to use while recovering and it was a good choice. The mass weight (i.e. what it weighs on a scale) is 3.5 pounds, which is pretty light. The draw weight (tension on the string, in pounds of force) is supposed to be from 15-25 pounds. But I was able to set it just a bit lighter, to 12 pounds. The bow can also be set to accommodate the shooter’s draw length (how far back the shooter should pull the bow.) This varies with the person’s height & arm-span. This is easy to do, with the included hex key and instructions, which I found quite clear. As this is a light bow, you can expect it to be good for about 10 yards at the lightest draw weight, or 20 at the heavier weights. Now that I am fully recovered, I am happy to have this A) in the event that I or my husband should get sick or injured in the future or B) to use it to teach beginning archery to friends. (I am a certified instructor.). You should be aware that you will need an arrow rest and nocking point for it. If you get the bow on line, you may want to take it to a pro-shop to get these put on, if you are new to archery.

Excellent bow
I'm a novice bowman - I just took it up so I could shoot with my kids. This seems like a very good bow for target practice for any sized archer owing to the fact that it doesn't lock back like a traditional compound bow, allowing great variation in drawback length. We shoot from about 60' from the target and the bow has plenty of power from that distance. I had a hard time finding a bow that wasn't a small youth bow and wasn't a large expensive deer hunting bow, and this fit the bill. It's excellent construction, strong and light weight. I'd buy the same bow again.

Great bow for growing kids 8 and older
Great bow for growing kids. Good but 15 year old engineering is from Mathews. The wheels are metal. The string is high quality Zebra twist. Very Poor quality camo dip chips way too easy. Draw stop max is closer to 28” than 30”. No issues mounting a Whisker biscuit rest, D loop etc but the cables do touch my feathers even with centershot set properly. I use feathers so no issue but it shouldn’t happen. Shoots great. My kids should get a lot of use from it.

Weird packaging, great product.
Came in a box that didn't have any logos from Genesis. But looked and felt new. Great for adult beginners as myself. Easy draw, great feel in hand. That aluminum body feels like a premium product. Feels sturdy, and well balanced in hand great design, nice and lightweight. Great product overall.

Ruinous defects repaired.
Its a great bow. My daughter loves it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had to re-thread all of the bolt holes for the sight, arrow rest, stabalizer, and draw length adjustment on the cam. If I had not had the expereince, skill, and tools to do this, I would have accidently ruined the bow. In my opininion these were things that should have been caught at the factory by quality control. Once these things were fixed the bow performed very well.

Nice beginner bow
Got this for my wife to get her into archery. It does not have all the bells and whistles that distract a newbie (which only act to confuse a beginner). It is an accurate and simple beginner bow.

Great for target and 3d shooting
Purchased for my son who is participating in an archery program. Arrived in purfect condition. I had to perfom minimal setup, to "Crank down" the tension, adjust the stop and add an arrow rest. My son is shooting 3D and with targets he is doing nice tight groupings at 10 - 20 yds.

Great Bow!
New to archery. Genesis PRO bow (RH). I have cranked this bow back to minimum 15# pull and it's great. I can pull it all day... and, it's no slouch at planting arrows either. It fits nicely in the hand, draws smoothly, and it seems to be quiet. It's drilled for a rest and sight and stabilizer. It comes with no arrow rest, so you need to order one (at least a 'rug'), if you get this bow. (I installed a Tru-Glo Storm Capture Rest AISN:B00QEDNMPW, see my detailed review). I feel I will never need to buy another bow....IMPORTANT !!!The string on this bow measures at ~ 0.110" where the arrow nocks. The Easton 'Genesis' specific arrows are spec'd/built with a 'N' sized nock. This 'N' nock is TOO SMALL for this string. (way too tight... they do work, but you will have poor consistency, as the sting twists the arrows around). If you are going to use the Genesis arrows (they seem to be a great arrow BTW) be sure to ask to have Easton 'G'-LARGE groove 0.098" nocks installed instead. (they fit perfectly into the nock bushing)-or-I understand the Easton 'Deep Six' nocks are superior to the 'G'-Large nocks. (same 0.098", but smaller, tougher, less flimsy). I have a set on the way... but, I cannot vouch for them yet...>> UPDATE << the Deep Six nocks are excellent! Just as described above. Forget the G-large... go for the Deep Six instead!.If you can't get them 'installed' just buy them separately, along WITH a 'nock tool' ! , when you order the arrows and change them yourself. It's not that hard to do..

Missing Parts?
This bow was a Christmas gift and while he loved it and it seems well made and exactly what he wanted, it came without the nock for the arrow AND the arrow rest. These seem like fundamental pieces on a bow. He had to go out after Christmas and buy the missing parts. Other than that, it was a great gift and shipped very quickly!

While not a hunting bow it is great fun and easily usable by both of us
My wife and I are 40 ish. We used bows in are teens and want'ed to try again, and after stumbling across this thought we would give it a go. While not a hunting bow it is great fun and easily usable by both of us, me being 6'1" and her 5'4" If you are looking for backyard fun for a range of people or to start out and progress to hunting I would recommend.
