Measure Optical Vernier PD Ruler Pupil Distance Meter Eye Ophthalmic Tool

It took me a minute to figure it out because it didn't come with instructions I had to google it. My sons glasses come in and he sees perfectly. The measurements are spot on once you know how to figure out how to read the PD. I would definitely purchase it again if I needed to because it is thin and can break easily but so far so good you definitely don't want your child or pet to get ahold of it.

Is it cheap plastic and cheaply made? Sure. Is it inaccurate? No not at all. I saw other reviews saying they compared to other rulers and the ruler they used was a printable ruler. If you know anything about printing it's that most full page documents/images may shrink or enlarge itself to fit the page it's printing on giving an unreliable comparison. I lined this up with a metal yard stick and 100mm on this device lined up exactly with 10cm on the yardstick.

Cheaply made but effective

I should have known that something this inexpensive would be a bad purchase. Even though there were no instructions on how to use it, it was pretty easy to figure out based on the pictures on Amazon for the product. But I didn't expect the screw to break after the first use. And its not that it just came un-spun the whole way; no, it broke, as in the screw is not going back in. The edges are sharp, like the plastic needed filed smooth or something. So after 1 use, the nose pad left a line across my nose, it wasn't confortable. But the biggest issue is that the measurements don't line up. Granted, it's not off by a huge amount, but still. I'm going to return this for sure.

I was very disappointed with the quality of this PD meter. The measurement scale was poorly printed on the ruler. The measurement target lines were too thick and the locking screw broke the first time I used it which made it impossible to use without another person's help. For what I paid it wasn't worth my time to send it back.

My eye doctor tried charging me $35 to give me my PD measurements ( it was me and a few kids!$$$$) because we weren't going to order glasses from them after our lengthy eye exams with loads of other "extras" piled on. I begged them to give me their best estimate, and what they gave me fell in line with the results I received from this device. This is a buying win! Get one!

Accurate and simple to use.

No instructions came with the vernier. The nose piece is very loose. I compared vs what my optometrist measured and there was a fairly large difference. I ended up returning them.

This item is so cheap. I regret my purchase.
